Coming back to mylot after... three years!

Yeah, I can't believe that's true, either, but it is. I have been away from MyLot for almost three years and I have to confess: it feels like visiting for the very first time! I honestly feel like a newbie! I have no idea what tasks are, or how to find my way around blogs... Hell, even my profile looks kinda weird and abandoned. I guess I'll have to work on that one in my spare time The thing is, I can't really explain why I left, or why I'm coming back... I remember having great fun and great discussions here, so I'm hoping to be able to have that again . I hope you guys will be gentle with me Am I a record breaker, with my three years hiatus? What's the longest you stayed away from mylot, and why did you come back?

HI Calajane, That's a long time to be away from myLot. I have been away from myLot for a year. When I came back, there were so many new things I learnt with regards to new websites and stuff. It kept me updated on some of the things that was important to me. I realized that I needed to be here more often. Subsequently, I dropped by myLot once in a while as an observer, but was not really participating much. But over the past few days, I thought a nice payout by Christmas or at least New Year would be wonderful, so I started to be more active these days. Why I went away? It's a long story. Why I came back? Just felt a little more relaxed after some difficult times.

I'm a little afraid MyLot will monopolize my free time, but I'm staying opticmistic that I'll be able to pace myself well with my other activities now that I decided to embrace mylot again And I certainly wish you good luck. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get a nice payout by Christmas. I think it will make a lovely gift, don't you think?

Welcome back Calajane. I think the longest time I was gone from mylot was a month. 3 years gone is a lot of time away I guess. Maybe you're the record breaker. I come back most of the time to refresh. See what great digests I can get from MyLot. I like the way MyLot threads our discussions and responses. I guess that's why I keep coming back. It's not like a forum site, so it's all great. To top that off with a ton of information just about anything lame or genius. I don't see anything like MyLot around the web. Good to have ya back! Cheers!

Thank you Wolveren! For me, at first MyLot was a bit too chaotic, I had no idea what to do or where to look, I might have some missteps in my mylot history, but it all ended well Now that I'm back, I hope I'll find my place again and the community will welcome me back! I missed this place!

Slow Internet connection would definitely influence my approach towards mylot. The site loads very slowly sometimes and I am not the most patient girl. And thank you for the warm welcome!

Well I'm happy to hear that you didn't loose your earnings! That would be quite a dissappointment! And wow, one year sounds equally as long as the three I missed. I hope we both will find out place here again. Good luck!

Welcome back! The longest I have stayed away from my lot is just two days I think. As a newbie I couldn't feel to stay away longer than that. Sometimes I log in only to see if there are interesting discussions, but if there's none, I don't bother to post anything at all. I only post my own discussions when I'm inspired to do so and have a great idea. I just don't like to post anything that doesn't make sense at all for the sake of earning. Well, I hope with your come back I can see more interesting posts in here.

Oh! I remember when I was still a newbie (an actual one, not like now ). I couldn't stop checking mylot, not wanting to miss on a discussion. I was cursing the time zones so much! Now, I first reply to people before even considering posting a new discussion. Obviously, this discussion is an exception, because I wanted to say "HI" Thank you for the warm welcome!

Welcome back! It is great to see you in Mylot again. This is why I always think it is better for Mylot not to delete the inactive users. Because one day they may come back:) I have joined Mylot for four years and I still like it here. Except for having a travel which I can't access internet, I almost post here everyday:) I love China

I cannot begin to describe how surprised (and pleased) I was when I saw they didn't delete my account. I have to admit they would have every right to do that! But hey, now I can't complain. I also feel like I should be very active just to prove to the mylot people that they didn't make a mistake by keeping my account open. I hope that I'll be able to visit mylot and post at least once a day, that for sure!

I joined myLot over 2 years ago, and I am very happy that I did. MyLot is a very unique place for meeting and making friends with wonderful people around the world. This is a community of sincere people working together for mutual benefits. That is the true value of myLot to me. I am glad that you have come back to the community, and I look forward to see you active in the community.

Thank you! I appreciate your view on this. And I have to agree that MyLot is very unique. I haven't encountered a place like that anywhere before.

Its a good thing you started a discussion because I've been deleting people who haven't been active for at least 6 months. I took a vacation for a while, I didn't start very many discussions but I responded to a few just to keep active. I'm glad you're back, I think a lot of people left to go to Facebook but know they are coming back to see some changes in myLot. Keep up the discussions!

How should I say it... I am on Facebook! But both Facebook and mylot are very different from each other, so I'm not sure if I could ever "exchange" one for the other... Also: Ha! This means I have a good timing. Hopefully I won't get deleted?

Woah that was like...ages! Welcome back, friend! Hmm...for me, the longest I stayed away from here was like months. I guess if I have to stay away another time would be during my National Service.

Welcome back! I don't really have a straight stay here on mylot. I'm usually on and off here. Everytime I feel like responding to discussion or making a new discussion, the first site I visit is mylot. The longest time I was away here in mylot was 8 months I think? I still haven't received any payment from mylot but that's ok. I'm here for fun anyway :)

8 months? Wow! Can I ask what made you leave or what kept you away? You don't have to tell me, of course, but I"m just curious. To be honest, I received payment from mylot. Just one, but then again, I didn't join to earn, the earning was more of a peculiarity I was fascinated about. I agree with you, fun's the biggest part of why I"m here

Thank you! Yeah, three years does sound like a very long time. Especially in comparison to that one week you took off for. But hey, maybe apart from great discussion I'll also earn some additional income. I certainly wouldn't say no to that!

Wow three years is a very long time and i thought that mylot would suspend your account if you didn't come back in 90 days. Did yu just happen to pop up in between sometimes? First of all i would like to welcome you back to mylot. I am also impressed by your rating as a 10 star one! You have worked quite hard for it and it would give me great pleasure to be your friend. Well i have just stayed away from mylot for just a month now and i think that is too long if you ask me. And since i missed it so much i am back here for now and i would continue to stay here for a while now. Cheers!

Well, I can relate to that. I've been away for more than 3 years and It felt like I'm new to this site. What made me come back here? I can't explain either :) but I guess it was the fun of sharing thoughts to fellow MyLoters. Have a Great week!
