Moving away to start a new.

So I have been with the same company for the last 3 years. I have bleed, cried, laughed, and Deployed to Iraq with these people. I consider them part of my extended family in some ways. You know those relatives that you hate most times and want to kick. But, as I am about to change duty stations, in 3 days I find my self thinking on how it will be weird not to go in to work and see them. I am excited to meet new people , but the bond that has grown between my self and my fellow Soldiers in my company is something I will miss. There's something about the thought of leaving them behind. The plus side is once I get to my new company I can completely reinvent my leadership style. Base it off of the people that inspired me the most while I was here. I was unable to emulate them to the fullest because it would be viewed as me being a copy cat or a kiss up. My question is: Has anyone else out there ever had the same type of move? and how did it work out for you?

I used to be transfered to different groups. It's a rotation thing in my previous company. I just got used to it. I never really establish bonds between co-workers. Atleast not a deep one. I just greet them whenever or talk about anything whenever we're hanging out at the smoking area.

Yeah, I wish it was that simple most of the people work under me so I will miss guiding them and teaching them how to be a Soldier. I look forward to meeting new people, I will just miss the old ones a little I guess. Thanks for the response.
