Are there any real genuinely lazy people around? I have seen so often where someone is called lazy but actually they are just always tired. Instead of calling them lazy maybe we should be more supportive and encourage them to seek medical help. What do you think about that?

I am a lazy person, at least I am the type of person who does only what is necessary and I hate to do physical work. In our culture it is considered to be lazy for not doing works in the house. It is true that I do a few works at home, but only when I am asked by my parents. Otherwise I will not do so much. My mother always says that it is hard to find a person that is more lazy than me. But if I find a work that I enjoy I will do it, but this is very rare. And I don't like to do study so hard neither, only what is necessary.

Rappeter do you think your lazy because you are not motivated or do you think if you were motivated you would still not do it because you are lazy. I am trying to figure out what type of lazy you are because I am lazy too.

I think that I am lazy to do physical jobs, I hate it when I sweat, or when I some part of my body hurts. But I like to play football, which involves physical fatigue. Like I said, I am considered lazy, because I only do what is necessary, and I don't do things from my own, whatever works in the house is concerned. So maybe I wouldn't be considered lazy in other cultures, but in our culture I am considered as one.

You are much like me. I don't like to sweat or hurt. But how does football fit into that picture?

Yep, me! I retired early and grew very lazy. I do manage to get the laundry caught up and keep things half way in order at home but it's done at my convenience. No rush anymore which is nice. Medically I am ok so know there's nothing wrong in that department that would prevent me from doing things. Nice to have all the freedom in the world. Kids are grown, not working........Nice!

In my opinion, the key to retiring early is to keep the mind busy. When I am home, I do play games on Pogo to keep my mind active and challenged. I would love to work part time away from the house but standing is what I can't do for long periods of time. Would need a sitting position and these jobs aren't easy to find today.

You retired early that is so nice. I kind of retired early. I quit due to illness and should of gone back or found a easier job a few years later but now I feel like it is to much stress to go back to work. I want to make money from home so hubby could retire. He so badly wants to. I think everyone should be will enough off by the mid fifties that everyone could retire if they wanted to so they could enjoy life.

Yes, I know one genuinely lazy person. Myself. Of course, if you know someone who's actually tired, than calling them lazy doesn't help.

So you are saying your not tired you are truly lazy, right? I sure do agree with you that calling someone lazy who is actually tired just makes life even harder for that person. Nope the tired person needs someone to come have a possitive visit while helping with the dishes.

Sometimes it is depression as well. In my case, I may look like I am lazy, but I am just unorganized and sometimes do not get anything done because I do know what to do first. Overwhelmed, I guess would be a way to describe it. I really know very few people who really are lazy. It is more some of these other problems and you are right, they would be better served by people helping and encouraging them.

What I think we should do for each other as family and friends we should agree to help each other out twice a year. Once in the Fall and once in the Spring. We as a group go to each others house to do a Fall and Spring cleaning. Then everyone would not get so over whelmed with their every day lives. Well it sure helps me to know my house is clean from top to bottom. It lifts my spirits and helps me not to feel like I am dragging myself around.

I know lazy people but it's basically more on their interests. If they're not interested on doing something they don't do it therefore being labeled 'lazy'. Generally, if you know what the person's interests are, you can make him do what you tell him to by using it as a thumbscrew.

OH ya the thumbscrew that is a good tool alright? I remember that one when I was younger. I was thinking though when you are an adult a different tactic might be in order and for many people a helping hand.

I don't think people are "lazy" as much as they have different priorities. Perhaps some people think a house should be as neat as a pin all the time, but other people that time spent cleaning and tidying would be better spent having fun with their kids. So, maybe the house is a little messy, and other people call them "lazy" for it, but they work hard at a job and want to enjoy family time when they come home!
There are very few people who don't have at least one thing they are willing to put effort into.

I think that would be called judging if someone was comparing house cleanliness. You are so right not everyone wants the perfect picture house with not a spec of dirt. I am also one of those people. I desired to have more of a balance in my life due to the fact that I did have a couple of relatives that were so clean it was uncomfortable to go into there house. I think there are few few people who are truly lazy but I do think there are lazy people due to be overwhelmed with life; probably because they are depressed or tired from a low immune system or other vitamin defiecency.

Yes I agree with you. I have to tired people in my life as well as myself. I can do nothing because of how tired I have felt but learn't I years ago that I could not allow myself to do nothing and so encourage others to at least get the basics done in a day and hopefully that will motivate them to do more.
I am not as tired as I use to be because I am drinking a healthy coffee that builds my immune system. If anyone wants some you can order from my website either at retail or at wholesale which is much cheaper.

I don't really think that tired and lazy is the same thing. You see, my mom can be tired from all of the work she does but she still does all this work around the house, because she can't stand if something's out of place. me on the other hand, I'm just lazy. I just can't be bothered to do stuff. Like I wouldn't be bothered if there was a pile of dirty dishes in the sink. I sometimes get so lazy I pull out dishes from the cupboards that we never use , just not to clean up the dirty dishes, and by cleaning up I mean putting them into a dishwasher.
I'm not proud of it. but that's the truth

I am laughing at your honesty, Cute! I was just talking to a friend the other day about people like your mom. I am tired and I barely function her mom is tired and she still keeps working and doing and doing and doing and also talks about how tired she is all the time. What gives with that? I am tired and I mean I am tired so I do next to nothing.
