Sakineh Mohamadi Ashtiani's Stoning? Everyone keeps saying that the US is full of these wonderful Moderate muslims. So, where are you???? Why are you not screaming at the top of your lungs to save this woman? Where are the muslim women of American? Why are YOU not screaming to save a sister??? If this were a Jew, The whole Jewish world would be working as one to save her. The women in particular would be working the hardest.
What is wrong with you women...Have you not thought of a single thing that you could do? I mean even if your husband is a filthy tyrant, there are still things you can do. Cut him off, figuratively or actually, until he comes around to your way of thinking. You single women living on your own have no excuse.
The only thing I can think of is, you really are an evil religion. You are all the things I have read about you, and I have read a lot. I have read your "holy book" too. Several times. You could of course prove me wrong, by taking your heads out of the sand and helping this woman and now her son too.
This is a challenge...

I'm curious how hard you've actually looked for such.

I have read all of the sites you put forth...I have also signed the petitions that are in those sites as have my friends...That kind of squews your numbers of "muslim women" signing them. Especially when one of them even says that folks from all over the world are signing it. I am not impressed at all with the 21,000+ numbers for the one petition, since that is where it was the last time I checked it. This is the petition that is mostly muslim women here in the Western World. They are the ones that should be the advocates for this woman and they are NOT! You just made my point for me thank you.
Most of what you responded with is old news too. I believe one was even from last February. These Western muslims are free to say pretty much what they want...I guess they are...Nothing.

Who do you think you're fooling?
First, you said you couldn't find any. When I called you out, you said you could only find one. I found tons in seconds, gave you some quickpicks of that crop -- all without charging you for library services -- and you stayed up all night thinking up a reason they're not good enough?
Face it: you tried to lie, got busted, tried to bluff through, got your bluff called, and now there's no doubt your original thesis is bogus.
Bottom line: Muslim women all around the world are protesting not only Iran's treatment of Sakineh, but of stoning in general and of fundamentalist treatments of women in general; they've been doing it for a long time; and you can only make your points if you pretend things that are not so.

Yes, I think Muslims around the world should be outraged. They should show that extremism like stoning is no longer acceptable. But then, I suspect that all too many Muslims are too entrenched in their own history and mores to object. I would think that the old ways should be reviewed critically in order to become current with the rest of the world as far as human rights are concerned. And Muslims around the world should hear the wake-up call and respond in a responsible manner.
Only time will tell for sure. Sadly, this kind of treatment is sure to continue if vehement objections do not come from the Muslim community as a whole. No matter how much the rest of the world complains about stoning, nothing will be done until the change in attitudes come from within the Muslim world.
Just my two cents!

I understand that the women in Iran cannot do anything or they too will be condemned...But American muslims who do not live in Dearborn, Boston, or Houston are still free of Shariah law and could stand up and shout that this is horrible. The women all over the world could do this too muslim, christian or pagan....

Very true! Women around the world should be voicing their outrage in unison.

The Muslim faith is one which is not of God. They are living under lies and bondage which they enjoyed doing because they have superiority over the females. Thank God for Jesus Christ that women are liberated under His blood. Even though they are disrespecting the President wife, other females should stand with her and let them know that they are wrong. As Jesus said to them at the Well those without SINS cast the first stone. None of them could because they were all sinful. Adultery is wrong and God show us this by divorcing the Children of Israel and give us marriage to Jesus Christ His son. But yet Muslim males have more than one wives.
Some people will never understand that the Law of Moses were there to show us our Sinful Nature and not there to give us LIFE because it couldn't. It is what the Muslim Faith is holding onto. A law that is sinful which God Himself know we couldn't obey. If you read your bible you notice that God anger was mostly against the Children of Israel because they were serving false God.
I agree that the WOMEN FOLKS should start stand behind the wickedness of this world but some of them love high positions in life and don't care. LOVE is what the world lack. Loving from the inward is what we need and not outward love to break this bondage on women lives. Hugs and blessings

The Children of Israel as you call them were in a learning curve...They were the first people to embrace Monotheism since "the first peoples on earth". It did not happen overnight. It took a while to handle this new concept. They did however finally make and keep their covenant with the Creator and do to this day. Do not ever say that the Creator condemns the Jews. They are the ones who gave the world Monotheism. Without them, you would still be worshiping Egyptian gods and goddesses, and receiving punishments similar to those meted out by the muslims...
