I don't think so. Most people still loves to hang out with friends than facebooking. Oh well when they hang out they still have a mentality to take more pictures to post in their facebook! They will brag about this and they will receive and lot comments, ....oh I forgot the tagging starts!

I do especially when i have nothing to do or it is holiday or no work to do. i spend my free time in facebook some games are pretty addicting also love to connect with other people since i learn a lot from them and develop lot of understanding between other cultures. But facebook is not the dominant thing in my life since i have other things to do and not there 24/7 while other seem have a lot of time even at work they could do facebooking since they have internet in their cellphone..

In some ways, you could really be onto something here, and I often wonder how many people spend so much time there or on here in myLot even and forget about their family and friends and spending time with them. I think it should be a matter of balance and learning what it will take to keep everything there as well. When we tend to spend more time online than with loved ones and friends it makes people start to wonder what we really believe in and cherish as well.

it really depends on the person if he/she will be spending more time on facebook. I always log on to my facebook to look for my friends who are out of the country and make facebook as our communication. It's doesn't really play a big role in social life but it's just a part of it. We can still live without facebook, it only helps us to make communication easier.

I remember when Facebook was first coming out and people were spending a ton of time on it. There was a girl I knew during undergrad that would constantly check her Facebook in between classes. It obviously was taking her over back then. Facebook is really taking over. It's a part of the new browser, RockMelt, and is starting it's own email service, Titan.
