Having a Certification Credentials?

Is it good to get a job by just taking up for a certification exam just like the
Comptia A+ Certification or the Cisco Certification to be your credentials as a
skill?

Hi myshop
Certifications definitely add value to your skills.Certifications give the employer an assurance of skills which were already tested.
But employer will have his interview with you and test your skills and knowledge and you will sure have an edge over others without certification.
My suggestion whenever you complete a course take the certification exams,and get good percentage.
