Forex trading tips for a newbie?

Have you tried forex trading? I'm still trying to learn about it but I'd like to hear any tips from those who've tried it. Is it difficult? Is it almost the same a stocks? How much returns can I expect to make in a year? And should I quit my day job to trade? Any feedback would really be helpful, thanks!
