I always wonder there are so many clubs out there and they all seem so interesting and full of people I would like to meet, but I have never joined any of the clubs. What about you? Are you a member of any club? Is it worth it to join a club? Thank you in advance for your response and your time!

The worth of a club is not determined on the club itself but the managers of the club. I cannot express how many clubs I have been in where they have fallen and been shut down due to bad management. There are some good clubs out there though you just have to find the right one for yourself as everyone is different.

Think of it like insurance. You have to browse for the one that gives the right plan for the right amount.

I am a member of so many gaming clubs. These clubs are mainly for gambling but they have other facilities like gym, pool, karoke, and restaurants. I joined these clubs because I get to use their gyms and dine in their restaurant all free.

I was a member of a club. It was back in highschool. It was compulsary to join a club and my main interest then was music so i joined the combo club. If you're planning to join a club, i suggest you join one that has your interest, not just mainly to meet people.

Hello, i'm not a member to any club for now, just online, in facebook as example. But i was on my way to join one organization who care and protect homeless animals. I didn't do it, because i could meet so many people there, with the same interests like me. The situation with me was that i live in new city from one year now and i still have no friends here, because i work at home on the computer and ... you know, it's hard to meet someone out of home that way. I just wanted to be a part of something good. But the problem with me was that i don't know the new city, i live in, because i go out only with my boyfriend with the car - that's how you live somewhere and don't know how to reach some place

Around Mid 80s I was a member of DX Club when peoples had no good opportunity to avail service of Internet. Postal mail was only way of best communication with foreign countries. That time in Hungary there were a Great DX club who gave me a certificate too as a member of their Club. Besides there were many other Radio Listening Clubs in many countries where we were member. Presently we are using internet so opportunity of DX club and Radio club membership shortened. About local club - we have less opportunity due to time constraint and other limitation of life.

Ah ha! I have thought of joining clubs a number of times before. But barring our good old office club nobody has ever considered me to deserve a membership in any local club. Wish they would break the ice and invite me to join the activities someday.

I used to be a member of a photography club. It was a lot of fun! But my schedule changed and I wasn't able to go to a lot of meetings and I didn't feel it was worth it to continue paying the club dues if I couldn't go to that many meetings, so I decided to leave the club. They're not really clubs... but I'm a member of Meetup.com. And I'm a member of several different Meetup groups there! I think they're a lot of fun and actually better than clubs in my opinion! So if you're looking to meet people with similar interests, I'd definitely recommend joining Meetup.com!

There are many clubs in my city.Sometimes I have thought of joining a club, but have never taken the first step towards that.I think one reason is that even if I join a club, I should be able to attend any events hosted by it.Time is the factor that stands in the way.Otherwise I really feel joining and participating in any club activities is a wonderful way to lead a social life.

I am a member of a badminton club. I joined two years ago and I play once a week. It is a bit expensive, but I think that it is worth the money, because I really enjoy playing badminton. I played when I was younger and then I took a long break because I was busy with other things, but two years ago I joined the club again. In the past I have also been a member of a tennis club. I joined because I had a friend who wanted to play tennis, and she asked me if I wanted to join the club as well. It thought that it could be interesting to try it and I was a member for a while, and then I quit and decided to focus on badmintion.

Back when I was still in university, I couldn't get enough of clubs. I wanted to join as many as I could. I was in engineering, but I was a member of the accounting club(just because I took accounting electives). Of course I was a member of a few engineering clubs too. I was even a member of a couple of regional clubs, one of which is for where I am from, and the other is because I just hang out with a few members. Nowadays, I don't participate in club activities too much anymore. The only updates that I get are from my school fraternity. I go for the gatherings once in a while.

Yeah, I also wonder what's in a club. Since I was young I never joined a club that's why I have no idea about it. But my son joined a club in their school and I'm happy that my kid will experience joining a club. I think it's worth joining one because somehow it helps him with some information about his subjects.

Not exactly a club, but I have joined the Community Centre of the community I am living at. This is an excellent way and excellent place to keep in touch with people living in the community, and also participate and enjoy the community activities.

I've never been a member of a club, yet I too have thought like you. As I entered my twenties, my focus on life wasn't friends, waitresses and bars, but rather a family. To me, my wife matters more than some club women or friendships that barely last into lengthy conversations. Its really not worth it to join clubs, as people can take advantage of you, and you most likely will spend time there only to feel yourself wanting something else. Your mind may not occupy that club, rather you may feel quite different from all the clubs men and women. Soleya, I think you should spend time with friends, and gradually edge yourself into clubs, if you really want such a experience.

i like public activity, but rarely joined the clubs.if you join a lot of activitys like young people who always do nothing ,that will waste time of yours. in spare time i like thinking alone.sometimes i also do nothing,if that case,i will go to libriry to read book.of course, during work, you may be tired, you can join the clubs properly.in this way,you will learn a lots from clubs.in the end,i advise you can make a plan containing work time ,thinktime and playtime, which can mark your life.my english is very poor.thanks for your time.
