Do you think expensive make up is better than cheaper one?

Putting make-up on face will enhance the beauty that you already have, however it isn't advisable to put a huge make up that will make you look zombie, I do put makeup occasionally. Because I still want my natural look. I just noticed people who wear the right make up on their face really look gorgeous, specially the branded and expensive make-up it really add glamor to face compare to cheaper once that was easily worn out and only makes your face oily and look tired. How about you? Which do you prefer expensive or cheaper brand make-up? Why?

Make ups should make you appealing and beautiful. Choosing the right make up should be based on your skin type. Even if you buy an expensive make up and your skin is not healthy or it is not suitable for your skin, expensive make up is worthless. So before you decide to buy make up consider your skin first. Your face is like the canvass and make up is the paint. So if your canvass is dirty or rough no matter what paint you put it will not turn out to be good. Also consider your budget. If you have the means, go on and buy expensive ones. They last longer than cheap brands. But I found out that Maybelline and Covergirl are also nice make ups. But what I really love best is the Sephora Make up. I bought Sephora Color Play 5 in 1 which was on sale and it is amazing. You can you different eyeshadow and lip color too. For my mascara I found Maybelline Define-A- Lash volume mascara works like magic. It is the best mascara I have ever use. As a conclusion I think I don't prefer cheap or expensive make up. As long as it works well for me, but before I buy I check reviews on line.

Maybelline's mascaras are great indeed, and not very expensive! I love them too and can highly recommend them!

I am happy that you like them too. They don't smudge and very easy to apply.

Most of the cases expensive is better than cheap, you know. AVON is a middle-class brand and you can buy a lot of cheap stuff there. have a nice Mylotting

Yes! I think so. The quality and the quantity are off different. I don't trust cheaper makes up or locally made. I don't want to risk my health. The skin in the face part are sensitive so better use those products with high standards. Most of the cheaper brands didn't spend much time in researching to improve their product and i doubt if they did several product testing.

For me expensive make up it cannot really hurt you even if your money will get cheap in a second. But don't worry if the time will come after the Armageddon you will not to worry about the crinkle's.

My skin usually breaks out when I wear cheap make ups. I occasionally wear and it's very disastrous when I break out. Until now, my skin is still recovering from stress that left several pimple marks and blemishes. It has been very costly so I'd rather look dull and faded than to have those acnes and marks!

I think this would really depend on the person some people would say that all make up is the same and others would beg to differ. Most people base which make up is better by different things how well it fits with there skin tone, skin sensitivy how long it last etc. Most people would say the cheaper the make up the worse quality you get others would say make up is just make up its all the same. Alot of people in the world would say the most expensive product is always better because you pay what you get for but thats not the case with every one but this one just depends on personal preference if you as me i would just say make up is makeup!!!

For me I personally have to go with the expensive. I find if I wear cheap stuff then I break out and have a horrible reaction to it. I really don't know what it is that they put into it that causes me to break out in hives. I have been using expensive makeup for a long time now and I have never had a breakout like that after switching.

Well, there are dozens of cheap makeup already there are even imitation ones. My wife doesnt buy those imitation and cheap makeups instead of beautifying yourself you might end up regretting that damage it does to you already. Yeah, Avon, Sarah Lee and other things that usually sold through dealers are known to be reputable already and safe to use, so that would be preferrable. Whenever a relative abroad come from the states they usually give my wife makeup which are already costly.

I prefer the mid-range brands that are tried-and-tested already not to cause skin break-outs especially that my skin is prone to blemishes. I do agree with you that expensive brands are better because they use better ingredients, and I guess the cost is justifiable considering the amount of research they put into improving their products. I've tried cheap make-up before and it cost me a lot of money in the end, spending more on dermatologist visits and acne medications. Expensive make-up is worth it.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. It depends on so much more than the price alone, to be honest, so there is no one answer here.

expensive is better as its ingredients are hypoallergenic that wont clog pores and wont aggravate pimples and as well cake on your face. I tried a cheap make up then and it made my face really ITCH like crazy! so an investment on the make up department works best for me!

Hi, My wife does put make up when we have some festivals or special occasions, but not daily as she is a homemaker she doesn't go out everyday. She says cheap makeup irritates skin and gives allergies as the uuse all kinds of dangerous chemicals to make the price down.So I think it is better to use expensive or medium priced one than to use cheap one and spoil your skin. Again you need to visit a dermatologist to get cure of those allergies. So it is better to but medium priced or expensive to prevent unwanted skin problems.

I am making a guess here. The price of the cosmetic does not make any difference. But the concern is that the cheaper ones might have some ingredient which is not suitable to be used on the skin.
