But in accepting the medal, he makes it clear that he doesn't wear it for himself, he wears it for his entire unit.
We throw the word "hero" around a lot, but Army Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta (173rd Airborne Brigade) reminds us what true heroism really is.

This is the difference between a Soldier and a politician. The Soldier almost always talks about My Unit, We, my buddies did this achievement. A politician is all about me and what I have done. The politician always expects things and demand respect. A Soldier shows respect and don't demand that you do things for them or give them something for free.
I keep telling people the saying that is attributed to Winston Churchill "There are only two people who will willing give their life to protect you....Jesus Christ and the US Soldier."

Very inspiring movie man, to hear these guys talk, touches my heart.
I think he truely is a hero, and there aint many of these around.
