I do not know about it if their is a plan then let just see how it goes through. if they would succeed and the privacy is protected but in their current set up I do wonder even I set my email to private other people could still invite me to have chat in yahoo messenger which i doubt when it comes to security of their clients..

I have no idea about this. If it's true though, i won't mind creating an account with it. Facebook has great features in it's site and i'm definitely expecting gorgeous features on their e-mail if ever it's true.

This is the first time I've heard of this news. I hope to gather more information about it. This email service might be a really good challenge to other e-mail services since facebook is quite the phenomenon nowadays. Hope you could give us more information about it.

I heard the news as well. If Facebook does so it is going to be interesting. Of course it will be free mail service. Now what I am eagerly waiting for is the reaction of Gmail, Yahoomail, and hotmail.

yes i think facebook will create a kind of aggregation panel where you can receive mail from your mail accounts, social notifications and feed in one place!

I heard about that in the news, but I will not use it even if it is true. I am getting really fed up with facebook now, I am happy with my gmail and hotmail accounts and I do not see a point in switching.

I have been hearing about this all day! But I won't be switching over at all. I like what I have set up and it's too difficult to change anything over. What a hassle it can be.. I can already send messages within facebook, I am not sure what they are thinking the advantage would be!
