It seems like whenever I upload a new picture on mylot, I always want to start a discussion about it, lol. I just always like for my friends on here to see pictures of my animals and my property, I guess. Anyway, when I came back to the house from feeding my horse, Mamma, today, I noticed this tree in my backyard with the leaves changing and I thought I would get a picture of it with my cell phone camera. I thought it was so pretty! I don't know what kind it is. Maybe some of you mylotters who know anything about trees and plants might know what kind it is. I had told one or two mylotters that I was thinking about uploading some pictures of my property on here. Yes, this is my backyard. The big house is mine and the little white house is what we once called the smokehouse. We did have pigs out here a long time ago. We later called it a bunkhouse because two of my cousins lived out there at one time. We also used it as a tack room at one time. In other words, we kept saddles, bridles, horse feed, etc. in there at one time. Somebody once told me that these type houses were once called carriage houses.

I am not seeing a picture here. I think it is interesting to hear about the history that goes with your property.

This is an amazing picture. I haven't learnt to upload from BB to Internet yet. Have to grab a passing child to assist me. In England we would have called that type of house a carriage house too. I cannot identify the foliage though. I have forgotten the names of so many British trees from my childhood. One of the joys of getting older

Thank you, cynthiann! One of the mylotters said it looks like an Oak and I believe that's what it is. I have about four of them back there. My mother knew a lot about trees, plants, and flowers. When her mind was good, she could always tell me what kind they were.
