Oh, this might be similar to others, but still I am contemplating to break this habit of mine which is nail-biting. I tend to be unaware of it when I am thinking much or watching a movie, then realizing that I have literally "nail-cut" all my fingernails. Probably unhygienic but sometimes I have the feeling of satisfaction getting into it. I wanted much to break that and included that in my new year's resolution..Have you got one?

My ex would pick at her cuticles until they bled. It was disgusting. I would always preach to her about infections that can be picked up really easy by doing that. For me, it is smoking. I often feel that if I could just quit smoking all of my other health problems would dissolve. I have problems sleeping because of caffeine, I abuse caffeine because of a lack of energy, I have a lack of energy because I don't sleep well and there is carbon monoxide in my blood from smoking. A destructive cycle. So, for me, it would definitely be smoking.

I use to nail-bite when I was younger. I kept my finger nails extremely short to avoid biting my nails. Its not pretty. I broke the habit when I decided I want to have longer and more appealing nails. I learn how to give myself a manicure. Then I always make sure I carry a nail cutter, a nail nipper and a nail file all the time, especially the nail file. So when my finger nails gets even a small damage I can fix it immediately, I don't have to cut it all the way. It worked. I kept them quite long for a long time too.

i guess mine is not too noticeable, lol. i just roll my eyes when i dont like what i see, what i hear, or just about anything im not in favor of. it didnt mean a thing to me as i find it more appropriate to express my disagreement in this manner, better than actually blurting it out which might cause more hurt. but after some time, my mom spoke to me about it that. oftentimes i get misunderstood for doing so and more people find me really snooty when in fact im not. so i really really have to try very hard to avoid doing it. lately i just tried looking on my foot whenever i feel like something i dont like is about to happen. at least no one notices my eyes rolling and saying duh to myself.
