leaving for a greener pasture...

I used to have an officemate who left the country for greener pastures. She is a single mom like you. It has been a tough decision for her and I just can imagine what youre going through. She left to apply in Dubai, she pressed her luck there and after 2 weeks, she was able to get a job. She is now on her third year outside the country. If only Philippines can afford to pay the employees enough to put the kids in school, warm shelter and food in their stomachs, then they wouldnt have to leave. Her son is only 5 years old, in the formative years still.. but she had no choice. She is a single mom, her family got burned due to multi-level marketing fiasco, she has so many debts to cover... she really cannot make it here. Dubai may give a high salary but it also calls for high cost of living. Her earning there was up by 30%; it still is not enough but then it is financially better for her. She just had to be strong enough for her kid. Switlyf... I do pray for strength for you because it would be an enormously emotionally painful. Years of separation would be ticking between you and your kid. Promise yourself that you should earn enough so that you can think of starting a business here, that way, you wont have to part. Your family may back you up in rearing your kid but it still aint the same with you around.
