We all know we live and make a legacy at this world. What do you think could be the reason you exist? I as a young lad would consider myself lucky to have a chance to live. The main reason for me why I exist is for me to make a difference to those people that surrounds me. In simple ways I could somehow touch there lives of the way I could possibly do for them. Though I may not consider myself the most important of all the existence but one things for sure, I live in GOd`s image and likeness and that I am a unique person and is living making a legacy of my own in this world. Any thougths for this guys?

There's is only one stronghold in my mind regarding the purpose of my life. Here it is "I live and exist to Honor and Glorify God" because I believe that we are created NOT to receive glory but to GIVE glory to GOD! God bless you joy!

I have been thinking about what are the reasons I have lived up till now. At the beginning, I searched for my own answer. But, I didn't find it easily. I ask my friends of what is their reason to live or what is their aim in this world. They just answer that they want a happy life with a lot of kids when they they are adult and have a nice job. Is it reason or one thing they must do?
Then I give up searching for my own reason. Until one day, I thought something interesting.. That my existence in this world and the reason I must live in this world is..
To make my friend, my family, my beloved one, and the other arounds me to be HAPPY!
That's my "Reason".

Well...
There are so many believe about our life. I believe in very sacred faith and we are having very different explanation about reason of our life. We believe that our soul in under very big filterisation process which is taking place between postive and negative energy. We are here as we attracted towards positive energy to which we can call supreme being also or god what ever you like. This all hapens due to a big bang and there are many stages in this filter process and here science take place in our faith. Everything is defined on the basis of science and spiritual aknowledgement which can be achieved by meditation here. There have been many philospher in India and many has been described same things in different word. I am telling you all these in very simple words but the teaching of this all process isn't all that simple as I said ...but any body can understand and get all the knowledge after good meditation practice...as I also believe this is the main purpose to live whether you purify yourself today or in next birth of yourself ...you have to come here many many times untill you get mixed with that positive energy...
Thanks...

There was a time when I lived with sadness and indeed wondered what my purpose was. I lived like this until I had a baby and decided that now she is my purpose and if I achieved nothing else in my life my existence here would have been worthy. This type if thinking changed my outlook to a more positive one and since then I have worked on getting to know myself and my reasons for existing are many. I have many passions and I stay aware that everyone I meet can be touched by me in loving and affirmative ways and that can make the biggest difference!

Many people ask me the same question and I just say, and don't get to have this on my head because I have been simply living my life. I do so many things I have no time to question it at all. Bottomline, those who are bored and find life to be dull or simply those who have the same old routine of daily livng are the ones question this. The impact I can only share is that, I'm still here because God's work for me is unfinished yet. That includes being rich in the future because I want to help MORE and I cannot do that if I earn less, enough or average.

Hi Joy. I think we all have a reason for being created in this life. I think the most important thing we can all do is try to bring people closer to The LORD. I think we are here to do the will of The LORD not our will. I think that some day we may face the anti christ and when we do this we must remember to let the Holy Spirit speak through us. It says in the bible that this will happen. I think the best thing we can all do is try to follow what we all know is right in Gods eyes. Do unto ohters as we would have done unto us!

I think we all have different reasons to be staying alive on Earth and we have to find it out during our life time. Though not every one of us will be very important people like Eistein or Napolean, we all put our effort in to keep the world moving.
For me, I think I would try hard doing research on certain medical area so as to find out new treatment for diseases which areuncurable now.By doing this,a lot of people suffering from these diseases will be able to return to the society and hope will be brought to them as well as their families.

From your comments, I think you're on the right track. Life is a miracle and a gift that we have received and we should use it right. We should use our life to get to know as much as possible about God and then use our life to help our neighbors in the same direction. We should not use our life selfishly but be generous with the gifts and talents we have to help other people. Life is a gift that we should treasure but also we should use it so that we are rewarded with an even greater gift, everlasting life.
John 17:3 (New International Version) "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."
John 3:16 (New International Version) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Wow! You are an inspiring person indeed! Years ago I have asked myself this question and couldn't seem to find my own answer. Now that I'm a mother and a wife, and a teacher, I discovered that I have so much love to share and this is exactly the reason why I am living this kind of life. My passion for sharing my knowledge to my students and my own family makes my life worth living. God created me for this very reason and I am nurturing it.

The reason for my life is to learn lots from a good education, then earn lots of money from my job, and eventually get married. In between, I will spend money on quality toys and enjoy life with the family. Of course they will have to enjoy, as I need some company. Creating a hallmark of success, whether it be from business or a top notch position is the definition of my success. I love to help people around me, and do lots of good work for my family. Supporting other people is a hobby, but I hope to support myself well over the limit one day.

Personally, I don't think there is really a reason for someone to live. I cannot believe that there is a god somewhere (or everywhere for some people) knowing what is good and what is bad for me, therefore being able to judge my actions, know my future and possibly alter it. If my actions were predetermined in some way, my whole existence would be cancelled.
The laws of nature enforce balance and continuity. One of the main reasons man exists is to procreate (so that the race is not discontinued). With that aside, it does fall down to what your brain desides is best for you (through your neurons and the electrical currents passing through them). I don't exist for a reason, but my DNA says I have to survive, and so I will, in every way I can.
