What kind of de-stressing activities do you guys do?

We all know everyone will undergo stress, and people need some time off from time to time, right? Everyone has different ways of relaxing and letting those bad vibes go away. In my part, I work out, and just hang out with friends when I am overly stressed out. How about you guys? What do you guys do?

I listen to music, different kinds of music, to relax and get rid of the stresses of the day. Classical music has been my favorite. I keep a collection of CDs, and I listen to them almost every evening after I get back home from work. I have been doing that for some years now. More recently, I am also practising "Yoga Meditation" for destressing. Yes, indeed, I find meditation very helpful for destressing. In fact, it is very good for mental and physical relaxation.

Well, some people I know do yoga to relax and exercise. They say an hour of yoga will burn a lot of calories while allowing you to relax.

Nice ways of relaxing. But, what is nice is certainly listening to cool music and just sit and relax.

When I had a very stressful teaching meeting on a Monday afternoon after school I liked to cycle home on my bike. Then all the stress fell off me. I arrived home feeling refreshed and much more relaxed. I like to go for a long walk along the coastline or in the countryside. Then can walk the stress away and feel a lovely breeze. I can plan a trip overseas for the future or look at past travel photos. I think that it is relaxing to swim in a warm swimming pool. It is lovely to have a massage with some essential oils. It is de-stressing to look at some crystals.

Long walks are really good. But, I can not do that from where I am from. I live in a really urban city, and bad thing is walks at night aren't a good idea.

Exercise is always good and de-stressing. Listen to music while exercising is even more awesome too.

Nice sir. I too play alot of football as way to relax. I even work out as well. I play soccer or football because I love it, and not to mention my team is competing in local tournaments.

Well, i normally go to the spa and treat myself with a chilling massage from feet to head..then i end my day with watching movies, funny movies at that..

I try to find time for myself then. When im stressed it is because of work or either family so finding time for myself and having time to come online to earn is a great destresser for me. I find making money online is easy and its a great stress free thing for me. Even though at times i am far away from the payout i just come online and make a little bit of earnings.
I also will do things on my own like even clean my room or even just looking through websites and wishing i had the money to buy things online and little things like that. I find it to be important to know how you can de stress your self in life.

Well, I get a tad stressed by earning money online. I might get less sleep because of it. So, yeah!

Hello jacobus whenever i feel so stressed already and nothing seems to be working well i tend to listen to really loud music and sometimes even sing to it as well. It is true that all of us have different personalities like some likes listening to the music while others dont. Its actually a matter of choice for everyone to do what it is that will relieve them somehow of the said stress. For me listening to music calms me down and then slowly im able to think more objectively and not rashly as i usually do when im under tremendous stress .And yeah your right we all need some time off from time to time to assess lots stuff about our lives and for us to think about what we want about our lives too. Yoga is great for this, other than that I do not really do that much. I do take long walks from time to time as well, which seems to be helpful too.

Well, just sitting there is pretty relaxing. And trying to sleep or freeing your mind from problems and stuff is always good.

When I get stressed, I like to walk for miles upon miles. I find that being around people only compounds my problem, and I often simply need time to be by myself. I always take some music with me and walk around in rural/suburban areas.
I also enjoy playing with my kids. They are very entertaining when I stop and give them the time. They are great conversationalist for a 3 and a 6 year old and they always have energy to go the fun stuff I want to do. One thing I do with my kids a lot; I go into their room, and I start throwing stuffed animals at them. It's kind of like dodge ball but with stuffed animals. They LOVE that stuff and it is definitely entertaining for me too.
One last thing I like to do to "de-stress" is go online. The internet is just so vast and accommodating it is very easy to forget your troubles. You can play games, watch TV shows and movies, do research, make money, tell people your opinion, and much more. It is more of an escape, but it is still a relief from the stress.

watching comedy shows and comedy movie clips is a great de-stressing activity for me. Also, chatting online and shopping in the mall are like therapies for mental and emotional stress. For physical stress, its really laughter and sleep.
