Different opinions about PCs and Macs can be googled all over the internet. One will be able to see the never ending battle between loyalists of the two systems. But, what do you think? Why did you choose your current platform?
Feel free to share your opinions.

The main reasons for me started early on, there weren't then, and are not now, any real Mac Business platforms. Sure, there are high end Mac's, but not en masse. I hear claim of Mac's being used as servers, but have never seen any. ANd as far as I know, no real Mac Server OS or expandability of the hardware.
When it comes to business, PC is king. As such, the "trickle down mentality" (like it or not) has not been favorable for the Mac lovers. Many priority hardware requirements for diagnostic tools, specialty scanners and printers just will not work with Mac. Lastly, despite many claims, Mac is still the last developed internet platform. Most things come out on PC first with Mac to be forth coming. I am sure this is brought about because of cyclical forces (there aren't enough Macs, so why develop for Mac first, which further leads to less mac sales, etc). In reality, it seems that once one gets out of the world of academia, there is really no Mac presence in the business and corporate world, other then personal laptops.

Well, what you are saying is all true. But, for people who do graphics work Macs are their work horses. I own a PC and a Mac, for other stuff I prefer the PC because of its capability to do more, but I like my Mac before I can edit in a better manner. And not to mention there are a few problems when doing photo edits in PCs.
Thank you for your response. Happy Mylotting.

I have only briefly used a Mac for image editing, and it seemed the same as a PC. I know Adobe ticked a lot of Mac users off a few revisions back when they came out with a PC only upgrade. After the feedback, they remedied it, but I thought it was rather telling of where Mac had gone...especially with Adobe (who started with Mac). One of these days I will try to spend some extended time with video editing and graphics creation with a Mac and make a fair comparison. I know many people give the nod to Final Cut for video editing over Adobe Premier.

hi there... actually im not rich ppl who can bought mac product.
what u see what u get is not suiteable for me.
what i have what i need to xploit.
for me best machine is machine that u can customize, high price machine can become useless if we can't use all the feature. so i choose customizeable machine.
we still can install good OS like linux on that machine, that will look like Mac OS... lol
but i like black screen like back track.

Well, as of now I am currently frustrated at my Laptop. It seems to be dying on me due to software problems. I might need to find someone to fix this thing. This is why I kind of do not like PCs is due to software problems.

I chose PC. Because It is easy for newbie who know little information about computer and PCs are very popular. So, there was a lot of guide , tips about this. Today, almost of computer in office are PCS. I know, Macs have a great graphics and so, it is used by designers who desgin pictures, movie.... Macs is not popular in my country, I mean less than 1% here.

Well, PCs are very popular. I guess this is due to the unlimited modification potential of PCs and not to mention parts are not cheap. Macs on the other hand, are more expensive though.
