I picked my friend up this morning to go to work

I might told you on previous discussion about my friend had his truck leaking oil, and temporarily he has no money to fix it up yet. He has to wait until this Friday, which is payday, so he can take his truck to the mechanic shop to do the fix.
Now, this morning was quite freezing, and I remember he told me that he has to walk 40 minutes to work. I just couldn't help and curious about how he gonna walk to work this morning. So, I call him up, and I get out the door earlier, and pick him up voluntarily. Well, although we have different work hour, but at least save his 40 minutes walk, all he gotta do just wait on the cafeteria until he clock in on time.

Well, in the same situation put upon you, would you let your friend just walk 40 minutes to work, I mean I would pass his apartment anyway, why not extend your hands to help. That is what I was thinking.
