I do. I was pretty young and my sister and I had gotten into a fight. Well my parents were very strick and I knew the punishment would be a trip to the woodshed so to speak so I was a nervous wreck. Well my sister made a deal with me. If I did her chores she wouldn't tell on me!!! So I agreed to the deal. After about six months of having to do all her chores I couldn't stand it anymore so I went and told my parents myself. I did get a scolding....but my sister...Wow was she in trouble! LOL...do you remember the first time you said a naughty word? Did you get a big punishment?

Hiya gabs, Good Girl you got your own back on him. I bet that felt much better than the other though that sort of nice revenge feeling. I would have used a pea shooter on my ex brothers one in particular. He was a little horror and still is has not improved much. I kid you not when I say this. Woo hoo I got my own back a few times too. I should have been a Boxer then I was stronger than they were as well and the age difference is minimal.[em]thumbup

Hiya jill, I remember when I was five and proudly stated that I already knew where Babies came from and proceeded to give them an explanation. That was like a bad word to them yes I got hit for it so from then on I kept "my knowledge" to myself (grin). Yes and because of my ex Brothers I have had many times like that when I have tried to keep them out of trouble but they were always getting into it. So one Day I had to tell on them and I did not want to do it. It was for their own good and of course I suffered while I listened to it all going on (the punishment). They have always thought me a sneak for having done so. But if I had not said anything I would have paid the consequences because of them. So for me I did the right thing. You did right to tell on your Sister too. I was always getting punished because of those two so yes you did right you stood up for yourself good for you woohoo. Good for you Jill.xxx

Hiya Jill, A girl has to do what a girl has to do stand up for herself. I only wish I had stood up for myself way before that even. But did not dare as it was no leaving home till you were 21 years of age and all that. You still did right and I bet you and your Sister get on like a House on Fire now. See not so bad was it? Alas I do not get on with those ex-Brothers of mine like a House on Fire no way. But I still know and feel I did the right thing.

I was in grade school when i blurted out my first unacceptable words. i was not one who was eager for this. I can remember it like it was yesterday. i asked my mother for a sheet of paper to write on. Unfortunately, i didn't say sheet when the words came out. I don't remember the punishment anymore but i remember the look on my mother's face. It was not my finest hour!

I was already in high school when i first spoke a naughty word in front of my family. We were having dinner then , i do not know what came to me. But maybe because i just want to test what would be their reaction when i say a naughty word. So I told them a story and toward the end i said the word. They must have been shock because there were silence for one or two seconds(maybe because they could not believe their ears that the youngest in the family would speak that word in front of the parents). My second eldest brother look at me and repeated the word at me then continued eating. Its like saying to me" Do not ever say that word again infront of every body, specially infront of our parents." No punishment came but that was a terse warning. To think that i still have TWO ELDER BROTHER and an ELDER SISTER!!!

Yes I do remember the first time I said a nasty word. Was about 14 and a couple of friends walked me home from a show which was about 3 miles away. It was after dark so they didn't want me walking alone. We turned the corner and began walking up our street and I said something I shouldn't have loud enough that my mother heard it. She was sitting on the porch step and I didn't see her. She did hear but never said a word to me about it. I went right in the house and to my room just in case she was about to give me a lecture. It didn't happen so I lucked out!

No I can't remember at all. It certainly would not have been in front of my parents or sisters. I remember saying a few words in my teen years but someone that I admired told me how awful it was to hear the word come from my mouth. I was so ashamed as I really respected this lady. So I got out of the habit and do not curse except for sometimes saying Oh S*it. And I am embarrassed if anyone hears me. My children do not swear in front of me and neither did my husband.

No I don't. I think that was ages ago. But I remember the first time I said it, I was with my parents in the car and told them what my friend told me, which was 'f**ker' something something. They were surprised at what I learned, LOL. From then on, at the end of that year, they transferred me to another school.

Hi. I do remember the first time I said a bad or naughty word. I can't forget that because it was totally embarrassing, I have to admit. Me and my friends were watching a volleyball game at school. One of my friends were quite used in saying some naughty words, kind of like an expression for her. I heard her whisper a naughty word then after a few minutes, the referee called a wrong foul. It was annoying because I don't like unfair games or judgments or treatments, something like that. So out of the blue, I said a bad word out loud. I guess I was just carried away, it's really not my intention. Unfortunately, our religion teacher was there, just beside us watching. He heard me say the bad word and scolded me in front of so many students. He even asked me to stay out of the field and stop watching the game. The day after, I apologized to our teacher. I became quite cautious in the words I utter from then on. =)

Carelessness was the big reason that got me to blurt out naughty words. One time, I was enjoying time with my friends, and then all of a sudden I got mad with a boy for putting white out on my hair. So I said a curse word to him, and then all the teachers came around us. I didn't stop saying bad words in front of the teachers, because I was too involved talking to him. From then on, I took a more careful approach with friends, and the way I behaved. Things have gotten better, and I'm suspecting that lessons like these have shaped my life. Naughty words aren't for a life time.

Well, mine's not really a naughty word but I do remember that time when I made the middle finger in front of my mom. I remember it like it was yesterday because it was a traumatic (yet funny) experience for me. When I did that, my mom and dad pulled out the chopping board and chopping knife and threatened to cut my middle finger. I didn't know it was a bad sign then because I was only 5 years old and I just saw my neighbor do it. I remember hiding in the bathroom while my parents were yelling at me and showing me that they were ready to chop off my fingers. They even chopped a wooden pencil right on the chopping board to show me how sharp the knife was. I was really terrified then but we just laugh it off now when I remind them of that instance.

No. My mom swore like a sailor , it was my dad that didn't! I don't actually remember this but I was told when I was about 6 . My mom was in the hospital recovering and I came to visit and said with pride I learned a new word. then I said cover your ears Daddy, then I said f@ck! My mom laughed so hard so almost fell out of bed!

I don't remember that much but I got a tanned behind because of it. I think I was trying to be cool with my friends and I said something that wasn't so savory and of course I got caught. I guess it all depends on how you punish a child when they do speak with bad language. My daughter will say "beep" which is pretty close to the word so I have to make her realize that she is too close to the word and she should just say it, she never does but it makes her think about what she does say.

My foster mom never made a big deal about me swearing. She would play skits of Andrew Dice Clay, Sam Kinnison, and all sorts of rated R movies right in front of me and not care. She told dirty jokes in front of me. Actually when I was 5 I had a pretty good aresenol of my own dirty jokes. However, when I was about 7 and at my real mother's house, she made some comment about how messy my room is, and my response was "What's the f***ing difference?". I wasn't doing it to be mouthy, it was just one of those things said at foster mom's house all the time. Of course I realized the second it was out of my mouth that I shouldn't have said it in front of mother... got a bit of a slap across the face! Learned my lesson then!

I grew up with double standards. My parents swore. At one point they couldn't complete a whole sentence without at least one swear word. I developed an aversion to swearing. I was not to swear, but I didn't want to either. THE day the worst word came out of my mouth was in school, in 8th grade. It was a Catholic School. Oops! The class bully decided to kick my pencil away from me I had just dropped. The other boys, his buds, joined in. The teacher thought we were "adult" enough to leave us for a second while she stepped out in the hall. I got mad. I swore at them with frustration. Later the bully chucked a left over apple at me when we were outside. I reported him for that. He retaliated with my swear word. I told the principal I didn't swear. I just wanted it all dropped. Nothing happened. She didn't even tell my mom. He and I bumped into each other from time to time over the next few years. I never paid much attention to him or his friends since. The poor guys are all train wrecks to this day. I'm 53. Sheesh.
