I drank a lot of Kool Aid as a kid my mom bought a lot of it because of course it was very inexpensive and still is my favorite flavor was Wild Berry and Cherry sometimes we would mix the flavors together my brothers and sisters and I would do that and come up with some pretty good tasting flavors..
The only thing was that they liked more sugar in it than I did they always made it to sweet..now a days there are so many different flavors I used to by my kids the ones without the dye in it the clear kind they didn't think it would taste the same till I made it I had to tell them thats not what makes the flavor thats just the dye they put in it to give it color.. they liked just about every flavor of Kool Aid except orange they didn't really like that one to much

Well I never drank it as a kid, I was not allowed because of the sugar used to make it. I was allowed though to use it to dye my hair which I did. I literally had cherry red bangs in high school and later when I needed to be a bit more subdued I had black cherry "highlights". Not only was it cheap dye it worked so much better then any dye I ever saw anyone else use.

I don't look good in purple but my cousin did and she had the whole bottom layers of her hair that color. Red looked good on me goes with my complexion..lol

Hi Opinionatedlady
My daughter told me how they did that in her school when she was in middle school and your right it does seem to last longer and give more of a bold color than regular hair dye

Never drank a lot of Kool Aide. Too sweet for me. Even as a kid, didn't care too much for it. I liked the Lemon aide. Funny thing is I found a recipe recently for Lemonaide Kool Aide pie. I might give that a shot.

I couldn't remember the exact name of my favorite kool aid flavor. What I can remember is that it has a yellow or red powder I think, then when you add water, the liquid becomes blue. It's amazing to watch it as a kid and it's also delicious. I miss seeing and drinking that. I used to drink that juice with my packed lunch when I was in elementary. I even save some for dismissal, after playing with my friends before our school bus arrives. =)

I love the blue one, whatever flavor that is. And no it's not blueberry. It is punch something. I just had the strawberry quiwi the other day and it was really good as well

I always loved kool-aid. I still do ! My favorite flavor has always been cherry, strawberry, or even tropical punch. Any of the red flavors. actually when my brother and I were kids, we used to call it the red flavor. simple as that, so that way it didn't matter what flavor it was as long as it was red. Our mom used to get mad at us because we made it super sugary. The package said to put 1 cup of sugar, but we'd put close to 2 cups.

I use to drink Kool Aid as a child. I don't think children drink it nearly as much these days. Although I guess I could be wrong! I can't remember if I really had a favorite flavor of Kool Aid though. I remember we drank Orange Kool Aid a lot because it was my Dad's favorite flavor! lol I think I was willing to drink whatever flavor my Mom made! lol

Hi Jen
Kids still drink Kool Aid a lot these days at least my kids still do I liked buying it for them because I could at least control how much sugar went into making it if I left it up to them it would taste like syrup

Hiya Cherry,
Although I did not have "Kool Aid" when I was small we did have other things. I used to love Cherryade but I never tried to alter the flavour of it. Whatever we did have was to share between us. So there was not much scope to put in or take out of the Pop itself. The others were always greedy anyway but I managed to get half a glass or two hidden away and drink it on my own. Memories to relish I would say.

After I went into the second grade, I was presented with lots of juices in the school cafateria. One special day, my friend allowed me to drink his extra juice box of Kool Aid. That day seemed so special that I've constantly brought that flash back into words until my senior year in elementary school. My third, fourth and fifth grade always had lunch breaks, and I would always drink orange Kool Aid. Sometimes I would abuse the serving size, and drink four day serving sizes all in one days time span.

We did not have much Kool-Aid as children (my brother, cousin, and I). My grandma never liked it. She thought it was bad for us, so we only got it at school parties and once a year, when she was feeling happy and generous. I can say that I always wanted the blue. I love blue drinks. I love a lot of blue stuff! I can't stand grape. Nasty stuff, in my opinion.
