Why is it that Chinese are so good at business , that they beat the living daylight out of every competition round the world and in almost every country where they settle, is it because of the Confusian values in their culture? because they invented the abacus? or simply because they know how to incorporate business with technology through out the centuries?

I truly think it's because they are CHEAP! I have a friend who started a pizza parlour NO SUPRISE, asian, (chinese) he buys the cheapest meat, fruit and vegetables but he adds herbs to the crust so it ends up being a decent pizza, price it JUST BELOW the competition and VOILA- BUISNESS IS BOOMING- but not because it's the best in the city- but because it's cheap! INEXPENSIVE! When you or I as the consumer and think "Well I can spend $30 on 2 large pizzas that will taste great oooor I have house guests who are slightly intoxicated who probably don't care it's just food, I will spend $30 and get 4 LARGE pizzas.." SEE- cheap always wins. BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK

Wow that's a good response, funny too hahaha..no seriously, their good because they use cheaper ingredients, in business that is good sourcing, good sourcing equals lower and more competitive pricing. I like your suggestion, i'll get my guests drunk first and serve them a cheap inferior stuff lol! Sure they won't notice? lol Nice and cool way to save, will try it

XandersMom, your deductive reasoning is sound. However, the part you got wrong is to whom the CHEAP title be given. Since you, the consumer, would rather pay $30 for 4 large pizzas instead of 2 for the same price, would it not be logical to call you CHEAP? It's a supply and demand relationship that you're referring to - you "demand" cheap (junk) food which a shrewd businessman identifies as a business opportunity and comes along to "supply" you the cheap (junk) food. LoL

I think the Chinese are good in business because it has been ingrained on them since kids that the children, especially the first born should inherit and continue the family business. As such a young age, children are given specific roles and responsibilities in the family business. The exposure at such a young age inculcates the proper values and skills required to run a business.

Chinese people are really good when it comes to business because they know the value of hard work, perseverance and patience. They also have some secrets which they are the only one who knows it. And I think this secret of theirs is their main lucky charm. We have Chinese communities here in our country and most of them were pretty successful when it comes to businesses and it is even intimidating because they prosper in our own lands and we the real citizen are mostly left behind. So sad but true.

Chinese are good in business because they always think of business and that way they have already discovered the strategies on how to be good at that. They know how to make their merchandise cheaper than others and they are do make big because most people prefer cheaper things.

I admire there good skills when it comes to business, even though I am Iranian. They use some of the best techniques to gain the most value for a dollar. Chinese businessmen have many trades including jewelry, cuisine and even plumbing. There are many who believe Chinese have inherited this quality from a revered priest and prophet who lived in Taipei, while others believe its the blessing of the Chinese Dragon.

It's because at an early age, their parents taught them business by engaging them and making them already aware of their family business. They were taught to save money too and they were taught the tricks of the trade.

chinese are good at business bcs they work hard^^ they are good workers. they work many hours per day. they dont worry about what they have to do but they work anyway. just to have a better life. they dedicate themselves to learn and to work hard for a good life^^ i really admire chinese people and also other asian people that really try to live happy^^ thats why they are so good in business. china is a poor country and they know that they have to study to then go to other countries and have a life without much difficulties and maybe someday get back to china with a good house and money for their happiness chinese people rock really^^ and i love their stores. here in my country there is a lot of them working here and i can see that they hardly close their doors even in holiday so. other stores are closed but theirs are never mostly.

I guess it's nothing to do with the Confusious. Business in China really means either compitition or monopoly. Many big areas are monopolized and other areas facing heated compitition. And that's why some Chinese businessmen have to cut their price down to remain compitetive in that area.

Chinese people are presumed to be good in business because I guess it stems on the fact that a lot of Chinese, especially the older immigrants, engaged in some sorts of business. Because they were few Chinese employees back then, what with the immigrants' limited education and with the fact that they do not speak the language. It makes their options pretty limited, so they figured that trying out there luck in business or working at logistic jobs for the other Chinese traders who have come ahead present better earning options for them so that they could send more money back home to their families.

you should consider that in China there is now a kind of industrial revolution as it was in '700 in Uk for example!!the real point is that chinese companies can produce much more having the lower costs never seen before..so even little business they can produce almost the double and having practically no costs and all gains!!You should always consider that an important role on this issues are played by fake products or copies of the famous brands where normally cost nothing and even if they sell not much the earnings should be high the same!!You should always understand that chinese workers will produce and work the double of hours and they are paid practically nothing for what they really produce for this reason the most important brands want come there to open their businesses and productions as so they have practically no costs and they will earn the 200% on single products or groups of them!!in reality chinese economy based its success on the inequity of the weak and avail the richness of the powerful people or politicians as well!!this is not a real model that people abroad can hope to see in their national markets.

yeah... i guess so! mAybe beacause of their trait.... good one! i believe that they are so patient, they also tend to spend so much little even they got many bucks on their pocket, and mostly i think they are so positive, they take all risk to start a business. also they all believe in lucky charms that brought them so much fortune, so whenever the business is going bad they positively believe that their lucky charms would save them. they are really good!
