I used floppy drive about 4 years ago. It's capacity is worth, just 1.4 Mb. So, at that time we can only store documents, sheetspreads in there. Now, I don't use it for my working, I use USB instead. Are you still using floppy drive for your working?

Yes. I think we not use floppy drive anymore because of a lot of disadvantages of this. We almost use USB for our work!

That was quite a few years ago when I used my floppy drives. Now I use USB instead and it is much more convenient. I have bought a USB with 32G, made of stainless steel.

I no longer use a floppy disk drive. I store everthing on a hard dirve or burn it to cd disk. I have not used a floppy disk in five years.

Nope, I've dumped Floppy Drives. It's not effective. Slow and small capacity. And I wonder if anyone still sells Floppy Drives.. It will be a rare thing in the future..

I don't use Floppy drives anymore because I have a portable hard drive, but I remember when I took them to high school.

A long time ago that I don't use them too. They're one of the few devices that hasn't evolved over time. In fact, they have 1.44MB when invented (and at that time that was huge) and now they still have 1.44MB, which is miserable now. For porting data, they're often too small for large files commonly seen today, not to speak about programs and games. Also, they're built in a very poor quality, almost always come with bad sectors in no time of use. The only use I can see for them is to keep a rescue disk in case Windows crashes badly. A few bootable flopies can contain a couple of disk repair tools that can't run on Windows and need DOS, and sometimes can repair Windows from a reinstall.

Invaluable for old systems, especially handy for harddisk recovery/repair tools and BIOS updates on older motherboards that can not boot from USB.

Technology seems to be moving very fast, floppy drive have been overtaken by time and even getting them in the market is very hard and probably if they are in the market they could be even expensive than the modern USB flash disk. Remember that external hard drive are just getting into the market and even flash disk might become a technology of the past. I no longer use floppy disk

I don't think floppy disks are in use anymore. The computers these days no longer have floppy drives. You're right, memory is too small. Files now are no longer limited to documents and spreadsheets. We have graphics, slide presentations, video files, etc. Floppy disks have really gone obsolete.

I'm not using floppy disk anymore, instead I use Flash Drive or External Hard Disk, The needs for storage today is extremely large, thats why floppy drive, cant meet the needs of the people today, cause it can only carry 1.4mb of data.

I no longer use floppy drives to save my files or store other documents. Years back, it was really convenient, but now most computers don't even have floppy drives, so I've gotten with the times and I use USB drives. I think USB is much more portable and holds more information, so I'm glad we're in the age of USB now.

Floppy disks have their moment in the 90's, it's 2010 now and everybody has USB's that is 1000 times the capacity of the floppy disk and it's very affordable.
