I find it really gross to see someone brush their teeth. It makes me want to vomit. Uggg. And a lot of people in my family will purposely brush their teeth in front of me because they know it grosses me out. Actually all mouth stuff grosses me out. I don't know how I manage to kiss my boyfriend. So, what about you, what is that one thing that gives you the shivers and makes you want to throw up?

There are so many times when I want to throw up, because of bad smells or visions. Seeing someone brush there teeth doesn't seem too bad for me, as I rather would not want to see them throw up. In fact, when that happens, the vision and smell both get to my nerves. I loose appetite, and waste a lot of time trying to get my mind off that funky smell. In the end, I will even take five baths to get my bad thoughts out.

I hear you, I can't stand puke either. Not even my own vomit. Once I was driving down the road and started to throw up... and just the sight of it had me continuing all the way to my boyfriends house! Thankfully he has a stomach of iron and used to work in a nursing home and he ran out to help me clean up and gave me some clean clothes. Then he helped me clean out my car. It is kind of funny looking back on it, but at the time I felt so dirty!

What grosses me out is when people eat with their hands without washing. In my country, eating with our hands is part of our culture and I have accepted that, I do it too sometimes, but people with dirty hands, eating without washing first really freaks me out.

Ooooo, yes when I worked at McDonalds there was this lady I ran into in the bathroom that didn't wash her hands when she was done. I thought that was gross, but I thought that maybe she was just running in to use the restroom and not buying anything to eat. But then she came up to the counter later and bought food. In horror I took the money from her filthy hands and watched her take her food to a table of a bunch of other ladies to eat her meal! And she was an older lady, I thought that older ladies were of a time period that cared more about cleanliness, but apparently not this one!

LOL gotta love family. No I am not disgusted at all by people brushing their teeth but I am really shy about having other people see me brushing my teeth. I'm always afraid I look stupid doing it and it just seems kind of a like a thing we should do in private without anyone else seeing. What does make me sick to my stomach is when people floss their teeth in front of me. Oh my gosh ugh. After eating my ex would always find whatever he could while we were out and pick his teeth with it. If it was in the very front of my teeth and someone could see the food stuck in it then I would worry but when its just food stuck in the back tooth jeez dont bother. I was always like gosh cant you go to the bathroom or wait till later. But he wouldnt. I would lose my appetite if he finished his meal before me because thats what he always did.

Ick. I never blow my nose at the table. Sometimes if my nose is running I will wipe it but I would never sit there and blow my nose. Thats really sick because other people are trying to eat and that is just disgusting for them to have to see that. He should go to the bathroom and blow his nose I agree. And ick I cant believe he uses the same napkin he blew his nose on to wipe his mouth lol thats really gross.

Lol yes, I agree! On that note my dad (who thinks he is the model of sophistication and good etiquette.) will be sitting at a restaurant and use his NAPKIN to BLOW HIS NOSE at the dinner table. He will then go about eating and later use the SAME NAPKIN to WIPE HIS MOUTH! I brought it up to him one time and he got offended about it and asked what he should do... blow it on his shirt? No, maybe run to the bathroom and blow it! Lol

There isnt a lot that grosses me out now... I could tell you something that did a couple of weeks ago but given your sensitive stomach I think it might tip you over the edge I can deal with poop and cleaning peoples dentures etc... and then I come home and gross everyone else out with detailed accounts when they ask "how was work today"

This way you make them feel less intolerable towards such thing like the dirty and filthy actions within and without. They indeed are gross at times but it would be better for us if we could stand them. Or else a bed stomach...

Hi dismalgrin, People are different and sometime they are horribly different. I mean different in their bearings and nature and habits. I can not stand a woman spiting publicly nor foul breath. If you ask me why is this and why not males? My answer women are supposed to be cleaner than men and hence they need to look after their hygiene aspects. I see some people brushing their teeth in the morning while taking a stroll and white stuff coming out of the edge of their mouths. Irrespective of male and female I hate this.

I actually sort of agree with you, I think that for a woman to be clean more is expected. I like my boyfriend to be clean... but I give him more leway that I give myself on that one.

I also have a little of that feeling specially when I am eating, I really don't want to see anything gross. There are many things that I hated, fart and baby's cold in the nose or cloth and human/cats feces ofcourse.

poop makes me sick too. I got sick a few months ago and I was at my boyfriend's house and we were all sick and his mom went to poo and I had to go, when she was done I went and just the smell make me sick to my stomach. I had to run home after that one.

I hate poop too. I can manage to look at it but its smell makes me sick and would make me vomit. Regarding brushes, I don have any problem it with. But my mom would really react if you are facing her while your brushing you teeth.

Fortunately for me i do not have to see anybody brushing teeth in front of me because i live alone.I only have a helper who spends the night in my house for which i pay him.He gets up at 6.30 am whereas i get up at 8 am so there is no chance of my seeing him brushing his teeth.Yes, it is quite awful to see others brushing their teeth in front of you,but what about you? Do you look into the mirror when brushing your teeth and do you like to see or not when you do so?

I am slightly less appalled by the sight of myself brushing my teeth. Also I'm not as loud or produce nearly as much foam. It hurts my teeth to brush hard so I just softly do it. And I wipe my mouth off as soon as I'm done because the feel of toothpaste on my lips makes me sick as well. Lol

The actual visual of brushing teeth does not really bother me. It is the sound of brushing teeth that causes my skin to crawl for some reason. And the fact that my room is right next to the main bathroom, I hear that several times a day. I don't mind when I do it but it is really the toothbrush that is against someone else's teeth that really just bothers me like you would not believe. As for things that really make me want to throw up, being near someone who is drunk. I mean really, really, drunk, not just slightly under the influence. So much that every time they open their mouth, their breath makes you want to puke. It can be a rather disgusting smell to say the very least. Also, someone ran over a skunk on the road close to where I lived and...well it pretty much exploded and did what skunks did. The entire neighborhood was really really smelly for quite some time.

Yes, I don't think I could work nursing. I did my externship for billing and coding in a nursing home and I'm so glad I was in an office all day. The smell of the main part of the nursing home had me trying to come up with genius ways of holding my nose without insulting people! Lol

Spitting on the ground disgusts me!

18 Nov 10
I agree... I have two sisters that do that all the time, I keep telling them that is revolting, but they keep doing it. My boyfriend does it but I have gotten used to guys doing that. I think spitting should be done in a toilet of trash can. Not on the ground and not in a sink. EWWWW

Hello, for me, I find it so natural and I dont find it gross, because brushing our teeth is what we usually do, but maybe in your case, I guess your thinking of gross stuff that is why...heheh But anyway it depends on the situation...
