how do you react if someone makes fun of you?

if he is one of my good friend then i just stay calm because i also had made fun of them and will make in future too....but if he is not my good friend...then also i will take it as a joke but if he will embarrass me too much...if he goes above the limit then i will show him what can i do... happy mylotting

We're the same. I would react depending on the person whose making fun of me whether she is my friend or someone I don't know. But even if it's my friend who's making fun of me I will still try to weigh things. If I feel that it's already too much then I will confront my friend. :p

Most of the time I'll laugh together with them because I know that they mean no harm. However, the time when I get serious is when the jokes that they make about me make no sense at all. I will hate people who laugh and laugh like nothing ever happened after making a nonsensical joke about others.

Me too. It depends on the person who is teasing me. If it is someone I am not close to, I get pissed off and tend to answer back sarcastically. If it's only, close friends and family, I just play along and shrug it off afterward. With family and close friends, it is common for us to tease each other and call each other names. We seldom get annoyed.

Hi, If the jokes is not too over,then I will be fine and just let it be. Any way, I have to right to shut their mouth and just let them make fun as they want and after a while,they will feel tired too. However,if the jokes is over the limit,then I will have to take an action to protect myself. I might have to give them a warning for not repeating the same mistake again.

Simple tooth for a tooth. If they make fun of you make fun of them as well. Make better punch lines that they themselves will laugh at your jokes. I they will not stop making fun of you better give them something that they will never forget that will give them the reason why they should respect you. You what I'm talking about.

we should not make fun of anyone in life if thy make fun of us we shouldn't take it seriously but take it in a sportive way & lead life positively stones are thrown to the tree which bears sweet fruits so never loose heart for such commands

i think it depends on the whole situation and my mood. if it happens in front of my serious presentation and my mood was set to my best, i would be annoyed but i will still continue presenting and will get the person's attention later on, but if it was during silly and crazy times with friends, i dont think it will offend me. well, it depends on the joke, too. but for sure i will talk to the person in private in a subtle way.

If the person is my friend, then they will not make fun of me since they have already accepted my flaws by then since they know me. Now, if a person is not my friend and he/ she makes fun of me, it depends on the joke.. if its offensive then I will tell him or off and that I do not find what they are doing funny.

I chalk it up to immaturity. I have better things to do, like earning a living.

I seldom encounter this kind of situation with boys because there they are being sweet with me all the time and being given extra care and attention. I will just get this from girls who are jealous of me sometimes but I just ignore them. But I am not being presumptuous about thinking that they are jealous, if they start making fun of me then I just join the fun. But if the fun is all about me and I feel that it is already hurting me then I am telling them to stop or else they will see the real b_tch out from me.

For me, it really depends on a few things, like who is doing the joking, and what kind of joke it is. A lot of people will joke around with you, intending for it to be harmless fun. But sometimes it can get inappropriate, and (again depending on who it is) a little creepy and uncomfortable. If I'm having a bad day, or if they are being rude about it, I will give it right back to them. But if it's all in good fun, I usually laugh along. This is, of course, as long as they know when to stop. LOL

If it is a friend who is simply joking around, I wouldn't take offense. However, there is a limit to everything. Sometimes the words of friends can be hurtful, and if I felt someone went too far, friend or not, I would definitely bring it up. It's better to clear the air and find out that they didn't mean what they said or have them apologize for it and know that I was offended than let them continue to hurt my feelings. Most of the time, my friends' jokes don't hurt me, so I laugh along with them. If strangers begin to laugh at me and make fun of me, I would be angry and hurt, but as they are strangers, they aren't inclined to listen to me or care about my feelings. Due to this, I would only emphasize once that what they're doing is rude and hurtful. After that, I would walk away and not cause a fight or scene with them. I don't think it would be worth to engage my time with someone like that, because they are nothing but bullies.

It depends on how i feel at the moment. If i fill the need to I may respond back to the person. If I feel that I am getting to upset I will just roll my eyes and walk away from the person.

it depends^^ is like you say if is a friend is ok to take it as a joke. for sure he didnt mean to hurt you. but if is someone else teasing then i would ignore it. and i would feel sad sure. im a bit sensitive. i accept jokes bcs me too i like to joke but depends of what they joke with. if you have some complex with something and they joke about that we easily get hurt. but if is only a joke without any mean intention i forget that even im a bit sad ^^

for my self i will not say anything that time after some time i will say them this is hurt me so i have some feeling to my self understood me that it they will change there attitude if i say at that time they will not able to understood me. OK be potions and you don't hurt any one.
