Hi everyone!
I think many of you knew that I was pregnant. I finally gave birth (yehey!) I was in my 39th week when my little girl came out. I was so excited to go to the hospital and so I can finally see her. I had no idea of the kind of pain that awaits me. Well, that was the most extreme pain I've felt. I don't mind if it's just an hour or two but to bear that for 12 hours- that was agonizing!
Anyway, I used Epidural and that was the best part of the whole process because I just had a few push and the baby came out. I wasn't able to feel her coming out. For some reason, I slept and when I woke up they just told me I made it. When I talked to the doctor she said that I was also awake when I was pushing her out. I only got knocked out after the baby came out.

True, giving birth is a painful process, however, seeing the child for the first time releases all the pain, it simply is a joy to everyone..

Yeah it was great right after I heard my baby cry when he came out of my tummy! I had him right before I turn 40. last year! I do have epidural too because he was 8.3 lbs. I had c-section!
I had pain for 12 hours but having my baby the pain was nothing at all!

Congratulation on the birth of your daughter. I'm sure glad you had got the chance to get the epidural. I just had my daughter 3 months ago and I wanted the epidural but it was too late for me to get it. I was extremely upset but I made it through it. And I guess I was blessed because I wasn't in labor for as long as you were. I don't really remember how long I was in labor, but I was in pain for about 3 hours that I can remember. And the pushing was just terrible, I wanted to stop but I knew I had to keep pushing til she popped out of me. It was a one of a kind experience.

True! I was very nervous when she injected me because I have heard a lot of horror stories about freak accidents that happen during this process. I was imagining things; what if the needle hits my spine? What will happen to me; will I go paralyzed?
Well, that's over now. I'm so glad I managed it. So far giving birth is my greatest achievement in my entire existence. :)

Congratulations! Glad everything went well. When I was giving birth to my daughter, I told myself that I'd use epidural in the extreme condition that I could not withstand the pain. I endured it, and gave birth naturally without it. Luckily, the baby came out in 5 hours (unlike your 12 hours) or I would have lost a lot of energy to push. It felt like a big relief when the baby came out. It's just amazing!

I had to be admitted right away even though I was just 1 cm dilated. The water broke first so baby's no longer safe inside if they will not admit me. For ordinary cases, they would recommend their patients to go walking and not be admitted yet if they're just 1 cm.
After 4 hours of laying down it didn't increase so they had to induce me. Pain was terrible. When I reached 6 cm I said I can't bear the pain so they gave me demerol. I slept after that. When I woke up I was already 10 cm, ready for the big game.
Good thing they gave me demerol; that recharged my energy.

It is very neat to hear your experience with labor of your daughter. I didn't have an epidural when I was in labor with either of my children. It wasn't because I wanted to endure pain, however when I was in labor with my daughter, I asked for an epidural but there were a lot of people in line in front of me to have one done. So, they gave me a dose of pain medication and that was all that she wrote. Kathryn came less than 30 minutes later.

Hello, Ip.;) Firstly, let me congratulate you for the new baby. :)
I can relate to this because I am also a mother and had undergone painless procedure during giving birth. Yup, the stitching and everything can be hardly felt but the contraction is undeniably too much!
Even 'painless' procedure couldn't spare us from feeling such pain, ei.It is like a curse, they say, but this is the reason why I came to appreciate more the efforts and love of my Mom for us her children. Knowing that during her time she gave birth to all 3 of us without the help of medical advancement. It must have been too much for her. :)
Congratulations again for such a wonderful blessing in your family. What an early Christmas present from God.

I've always wondered how painful it is to give birth. Don't get me wrong, i don't wanna experience it. The pain of circumsision is too much. Mothers really are tough. For the love of their child, they're ready to endure the pain.

I really feel curious when pain statements are mentioned for child deliveries. It makes me want to know how much of a pain mothers endure when the baby has to come out. Well, the only assumption that I know of it is that Kidney Stone attacks are much more painful than delivery. The only person I know that had a kidney stone is my uncle, but when his attacked occurred he told everyone that he needed time to rest and no hospital was needed. Well, which one man knows what pains come about, as only woman experience it.
