I have this friend that one of her close relative, was divorced his wife and now getting married to the wife's younger sister. He and his first wife was divorced a year ago and the ex-wife have got married to another man few months ago, now he is going to married to his ex-wife's younger sister. At first the girl's family objected the marriage since he have divorced his first wife and now wanted to married the ex-wife's younger sister, but now they surrender to him just because the girl likes him so much, and finally the parents approved their marriage.
What do you think about this kind of marriage, do you think it will last long?
Any opinion?

I never heard it before, but my grand grand father doing that by different case. his wife passed away, then he married her wife's younger sister.
abut long or short, I can not comment, because I'm not married yet.

I this if the wife passed away and he married again, that is consider quite common, many people did that. But if the ex-wife is still alive and he married another one and yet is the ex-wife's younger sister, that is something that many people cannot accept.

Hi yspmyl,
Yuck!!! This family seem to be very dysfunctional. I have to wonder if sometime was going on with the ex-husband and the little sister while he was still married to the wife? Everyone seen to be rushing to remarry (someone else)quickly. Marriage here doesn't seem to have a great meaning to any of them.
The little sister has seen the life she is about to lead with her new husband through the life he led with her sister. If she thinks that she will change him or their marriage will be better than his first one, she is in for a rude awakening. Second marriages, statically end in divorce; it is just a matter of when.

I think some people may think that to married to someone they love in a short period right after their divorce is all right. But many people cannot accept it.
I think to married to the ex-wife's sister will really make them feel awkward when both the sisters meet after the married. I too believe that they not be happy for long and will somehow lead to another divorce.

After reading your discussion, my mind has come out a lot of questions.
What type of the ex-wife, ex-husband, ex-wife's sister they are ?
Is this man really like his ex-wife sister and want to marry with her?
For me, I shall definitely object the marriage in between the man with his ex-wife younger sister.
I suspect he just want to offend his wife to marry with another guy.
Anyhow, I have no right to comment too much about their personal life.
I just wish the two couples have a long lasting happy marriage.

I think the man really like his ex-wife's sister. I don't know how the ex-wife going to face with them when they meet and I think that will be real awkward.
I think if you were to married to another women with the purpose just to offend the ex-wife, I think that is not rational.
That is their choice, no one can comment with their own choice and they have to bear with their own choice and responsible for that.
