When I was a kid I watched the Hawaii Five-o series religiously every night at 11:30 pm in the summertime . I loved the show. They have came out with a new one here recently. I have watched several of the episodes and it seems to be a pretty good program. But I am not so sure it beats Jack Lords, the main character in the old series. So I have decided to throw out the question to you My lotters . Which one do you think is better and why?

I used to watch the original Hawaii Five-0, too, but it's been so long that I don't really remember much about it, except for "Book him Dano".
The new show looks pretty good so far. I like the cast and the storylines have been interesting so I plan to continue watching. As of right now I like the new one better simply because it's more in tune with the times.

I myself think that the guy who took jack lords spot for the new show is not any good. There rest of the team I like though. Who do y6ou think they could have put there different? I had a couple of ideas but would love to hear your thoughts first :)

Oh, geez, someone who would be better at portraying Jack? I agree the current actor seems a little weak. Jeff Bridges? Russell Crowe? I can't think of anyone currently on television who would fit the role better...but who do you have in mind?

Like you said, someone playing Jack better than Jack seems an impossibility. I just don't believe a Pasty white guy is even in the ball park. This guy has no style. Granted I like everything else about the show. It all fits except for him.

I haven't seen the new show, and I don't plan on ever seeing it. There can only be one Danno (James Macarthur) and I wouldn't even want to see anyone else try to play him. The same goes for Steve McGarrett and the rest of the Five O team. They should have used different names for the characters of the new show, rather than taking the original ones. Plus, I don't like all the garbage they have in the new show.

Actually the last episode I saw was pretty darn good. You are right though the older version can never be redone better.
