hey hey hey mylotters!
how are you? hmmmm.... christmas is fast approaching and everyone is excited for that special day of giving gifts and other things that is usually given during christmas..
but aside in giving gifts, one more thing that excites people during christmas (especially me.. ^_^) are the foods that will be prepared on the dining table; and these foods are especially great!
so folks, what are you planning to prepare this christmas?

One of the things I love about Christmas is the lights everywhere! its very lively! But the thing I love most about it is the food! December means munching of lots of food for me, and it ends the week after new year! Though we usually prepare Ham, Morcon, and potato salad, we also have baked mac and cheese, fruit salad, and liempo. Yummy! ^_^

yeah, fruit salad is always on the menu, especially if you're a filipino.
i guess you're a filipino.
but as for my family traditions, we mostly prepare fruit salad on the new years eve.
and ham is just an optional food in our menu.
but we have kare-kare, and seafood chopsuey prepared in place of ham every christmas.
sometimes we also cook and prepare spaghetti.

Traditional christmas foods in our family are ham, macaroni salad, pasta, chestnuts and other sweet treats given as gifts like cookies, fruit cake, food for the gods, pastries. We never grow tired of eating these foods. I think we'll have it again this year, or perhaps just a slight variation of it.

well, our family have our own traditional foods.
first we always have a seafood vegetable stew (seafood chopsuey), then we have kare-kare (ox tail stew), but we mainly use pork feet or legs).
as for the dessert we always have mango float, or leche flan.
if we feel like it we also cook spaghetti, or macaroni, of course fruit salad is more preferred for the new year.
some times we also have ham in the table during christmas.

Buying some food from Costco is the best way for me to enjoy real good delights for Christmas. You see, I have a mountain book of recipes, and all my food is bought from Costco. There food is close to organic value, as the taste of apples, baked food, and canned food alike taste more rich and delicious. Its a valued place for me to go, as the prices are low and theres lots of varieties to choose from. Thanks for reminding me about Christmas food shopping.
