My friend transfered money from overseas to me last week, and she already fully paid the remitance fee and service charge from her side. Yesterday, my bank called me that the money has been received and I needed to go to the bank to confirm it. Then, I went to the bank to confirm the money, and a strange thing happened: The bank wanted to charge me service fee again!! I didn't do nothing about the money but confirm, I don't understand why they wanted to charge me for?!! SO, I ,as a payee, refused to pay the so-called service charge!!
Anyway, the bank decided not to charge me eventually. I still think that is an unreasonable charge, its not about the money, its about the rights.
What would you do, mylotters? Can you san NO to banks to protect your rights?

It's best to just look for another bank. Banks have made those rights legal so you can't do that everytime. Just look for another bank that you think has the best services. I realized this when i was charged for a deposit to the same area. As far as i know, you don't get charged if It's in the same area.

Yes, I have started thinking of looking for another bank. But the truth is, banks are all the same, as you said, they have made their rights legal to protect their own benefits. Then what about us? What about our rights?? This is so unfair...
