I used to have a toshiba satelliete, it cost £370, and broke 1/2 month after the warranty ended. Now i have a samsung NC10 plus. Only a very small netbook. It has a better battery life, and is less than 1/4 of the weight, and only cost £200, and comes with a 2 year guaranty. It has the same hard drive space, and although it is slower, i think it is better, as i dont have to strain to carry it around anymore.
As for gaming
I would rather get an alienware pc rather than a laptop surely?

isn't alienware also a product of Dell?
my laptops warranty just ended last september (my laptop is NEO), but its graphic card cannot support gaming very well. i can only play a number of games in it.

for gaming: i totally agree with u: Alienware
however, i also like the MSI gaming laptop that came out recently. im not sure what it's called or where to get it.
office work would be an HP. I like their back up system....very user friendly and the machine is very reliable. minimum risk for data lost.
