So we all have this strong virtue to be patient in life. You have to be patient in everything you do.
Your everyday life actually evolve around that one word, accept for breathing of course.
Now, how much patience do you have in your everyday life?
Here is a good example and the best meaning i could find on patience.
The quality of being patient:
The bearing of provocation, annoyance, misfortune, or pain, WITHOUT COMPLAINT, loss of temper or irritation.
Who can tell me they are the most patient person ever?

I am patient. I see no point in being impatient because the only thing that alters is the colour of your hair. It gets to be grey sooner

Grey doesn't bother me either, while it is underneath the rest that is

Depends. I can be angelic with the world if I buy me a new dress that is peach, pink, or yellow in color. :) And I can turn into nit picking person if something goes against my will. :)
Ah, that does not really sound like me, at least not always. :) But I did notice much depends upon the frame of mind. There are, of course somethings that are simply not acceptable. I have parted ways with many people on those ANNOYING issues. :)

people always say this to me "patience is a virtue" and i always answer them this "not in my book" but i do sometimes exert more effort into keeping my cool... but between my girl friend and my dogS, that sums up all the patience i could come up everyday which leaves all the rest to suffer my wrath. lol!

I don't know what patience is but I think it means how long can you stay, right?
I can stay until the prize is reached. For example I can bake a cake and wait until it's done. That is my patience. I'm really a very sensitive person but I can tolerate pain and irritation for a long time and I don't think I snap. I simply just forget whatever it was that was irritating, annoying or painful.

Thanks Dear,
There are many kind of distractions in this world and sometimes we should focus on them so we are not too much into the stressful thoughts. Take distractions they are helpful too.

I would say that I do have a strong sense of patience but today I just lost it. One of the most stressing and awful days in my life. Normally I am patient except when my family is attacked in any way - and then I turn into pit bull today I faced the worse of my country and it is so bad that I cannot talk about it publicly. But I will survive. I will survive. Oh, by the way - I do not do pain well either

Hi sweetie.
Should i come and train you then?
I am the best when it comes to a pit bull.
Now if it is something to do with your country, go fire those butts and make them pay for it.
Pain, can handle it, but get annoyed by it.
Thanx.

My students have always told me I have the patience of Job, but they also nick named me Lord Vader so do I win? Choose your words wisely. Do not underestimate the power of the Dark Side.
In all seriousness, I think each of us at one time or another on our path of growth have lost our temper. One of the best things I heard was years ago his Holiness The Dalai Lama spoke in Rochester, Minnesota to a group of doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at the Mayo Clinic was that he still lost his temper. I stopped in my tracks of listening and was like "Did he just say he got mad still, but he's enlightened". What I have learned since then and repeated in a book called Hardcore Zen is that we are human enlightened or not. There is an old koan that goes "Before enlightenment chop wood and carry water, after enlightenment chop wood and carry water. It's the same with emotions.
Just because one is enlightened, older, more mature, or what have you does not mean our emotions suddenly become non-existent. We simply learn how to accept them and manage them. When we accept that our emotions are like water and allow that water to flow naturally we find that we do not have these out bursts. Not to over quote Bruce, but "Be water my friend".

Hello sweetie.
Water and wood will probably do that.
One thing we have to remember though.
The Dalai Lama might be holy, but he is still human.
I think he has to have much more patience than us.
Maybe i should try the water.
Thanx.

I could only give patient to my boss, my nagger parents or someone that I don't want to argue with. But with other things I must admit the fact that I am not that patient. I can't even control my temper.

Saphy having lived the life I have thus far I am going to tell you that I have to be about the most patient woman in the world. Although I can feel antsy I know it will not get me anywhere.
Having no one outside of my two children and my wonderful boyfriend now, there is no one in the world I can lean except for me. So patience is something that I have learned to live with in my life and if I can;t get things moving on my own I will but if for some odd reason i can't you betcha I count my blessings and wait patiently.

Life had handed me really tough cards my dear and if I don't do what I do I would be completely lost. I am one who never turns away a learning experience. I am no one special just trying hard always to be a good person. As I believe sharing is caring and well I want others to be good to me as well.
Amazing to hear that you have picked up things about me, as honestly many direct people in my life do not know me at all. Instead they take advantage of what they think they can get from me.

Today my patience has been tested. I have the TV on, and see adverts, with Mike Gatting, the pontiff, and news articles about Ireland's financial problems. We all know that the Vatican aided many Nazis to escape justice, and that Eire did it's best to hide Nazi spies. So where does Mike Gatting fit?
If they had really wanted to keep a Nazi theme they should have kept Roosevelt in there since his regime financed them?

I don't think I can do this, I am impatient already trying to write this statements down. Do you find that you are more patient outside rather than your house and or with family. Just curious.

Hi saph,
I wish I were tolerably patient in my ways. But that is an alas thing! I am still hopeful that one day I will be more and more patient and would not react even if you go on irritating me with your non stop mouth.
Actually I feel envy for them who are more patient than me.

hello dear saphy,
I can say that i am a patient person (thu i am moody)
I managed my patience a lot,and i need too.
My work needs a lot of patience,or else,i always end up shouting or screaming.
Being a mom needs a lot of patience either (long and lasting patience)
Well, when i felt like burning inside,i just take a deep breath and sing a song (hahaha)
That helps a lot too.
Have a great weekend dear
