I have changed phones many times but i haven't even trade in any of my previous phones. The main reason would be the trade in rate is very low and furthermore i change phones usually when my phones are having problems or are spoil/faulty. Many shops don't accept these phones and so old phones just become toys for the children :p What about you? Do you trade in your old cell phones when buying a new one?

Typically, I donate my old phones. Public library near my house has this box at the entrance for the old & used phones. From what I've been told, they take the box once a month & donate it to either police department or WIC centers.

If you can sell it off, that would be great. At lease it can compensate for a certain part of the cost for the new phone. Cheers!

No, I never have, as I didn't know we could do that. I have kept pretty much all m phones, and I really don't know why, as they are all obsolete. I guess I was keeping them for souvenirs. I usually change phones once a year, unless I find one that I like well enough to keep it a lot longer. I haven't foind any phones like that until now. I have an android phone, and the best one I have ever had, at least in my opinion, anyway. I will keep this one probably keep it for a long time. Take care, and have a good day.

I always trade in my old phone when I get a new one, unless someone in my family wants it. Even though the trade-in value is low especially if its defective, it's still better than living it lying around or it ending up as a toy because there might be some hazardous material there. At least if I trade it in, someone will fix it and spruce it up a bit so that someone else can use it. Better for the environment in the long run.

You are correct, anyway many shops now don't accept faulty phones. Maybe we should dispose it properly instead of being a toy for the children. Thanks

I usually give them for the person whom need them. There're many students don't have enough money to buy a new phone so I think that my old phones are useful for them.

That's great to help up others who needed it. Maybe giving it out to those who needed it most is better than keeping more than 1 phone yourself. Have a good day!

No, I have never done that, I do not even know if it is possible where I live. I guess it must be, but I have never heard of anyone doing it.
