I've just read a comment in a discussion about friend's lists. One myLotter says that he doesn't add "people from certain regions of the world". As I can see most of the members here are from America but there are people from many other parts of the world. I'm from Eastern Europe, from the Balkans and I like the possibility to meet people from other continents that I can't visit. Do you feel the same? How do you chose your friends in my Lot?

i dont limit myself only to people in my region, instead i like to add people all over the world. its fun having friends especially from other countries. it enhances my knowledge because there are things that i dont know and there are thing they dont know and i tell it to them. no matter what nation you are from, we live in one world and we must be friends with everyone

I like to have all diffenet kinds of friends. I think it would be boring to have only friends of a certain type. I like to learn about different cultures and religions, even if I don't agree with them. The only friends I don't accept are ones that are just here to gain referals for other sites.

Regionalism should not matter here. A place like myLot is mainly for sharing our point of view on anything. The more different opinions we get, the more interesting the discussion will be.
For me the main problem here on myLot is, I do not know how to initiate a discussion, I am always short of topics and the other thing is, I do not find most of the discussions interesting. That is why, I always try to add people with similar interest, I mean, people who reply to the discussions of my interest in a positive way. Also, I always accept the friend requests. I feel myLot is much much better than Facebook and Orkut. Most of the people here in myLot do not talk non-sense and they are always ready to help me. I love this place (myLot) and the people here on myLot.

i like to have friends from all over the world. i think it is cool to interact with people from places you have never been. the feeling of.. i wonder how it is over there... kinda goes away when you have someone there to tell you about it.

I go to the profile of the person and if I find it good then I add it to my friend. Sometimes while having discussion I add those I find friendly or funny. Region doesn't matter, if the person is good enough to be a friend. People are planning to live in moon, if they start living there, even then I will remain their friend no matter it is mylot or some other place.

I go to their profile and see what questions they have asked, or responded to, and if they seem like someone I wouldn't mind associating with, according to their answers or responses, I go ahead, and be friends with them!
Country, race, or culture doesn't matter to me !

One of the things that I really like about Mylot is the fact that we are able to find friends from many different parts of the world. I am very interested in other countries and cultures and I find it interesting to learn more about those things through MyLot friends from around the world. I would never reject a friend request because the country, because I think it is great to have friends from all over the world, and I like to have a friend list where many, many different countries are represented I also like to have to friends are both younger and older than me, and I like to talk to many different kinds of people.

I have absolutely no preference as to who I normally accept. I normally do not request the friends as I get many on a daily basis. I have yet to turn anyone away, and basically I am the one that opts to respond to any of the discussions they start.
I thus far I have been pretty happy with anyone who has requested and I have friend-ed. I suppose those who have a preferences, well it is simply that a preference I would think.

As long as they seem polite and assertive in the way they reply, I find it enticing to add them.
