Texas Governor Rick Perry is suggesting that it may be time to send our military into Mexico to get control of the cartels. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/11/19/perry-suggests-consider-sending-military-mexico/ I agree fully. They have put our country's safety at risk and we must be aggressive in stopping them. Did you know that the Obama Administration plans to pull the National Guard off of the border in February? Glad that little trouble (sarcasm) with Mexico is all better. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/local/Texas-Republicans-protest-plan-to-move-National-Guard-troops-off-the-border-1623045-109284229.html According to this article DHS says this hasnt been approved at the top yet....

No we shouldn't go in attacking a country or putting our Military in another country without them asking for our help. This sort of Pre-emptive war stuff is the same tactic used by Hitler. I am against the United States using such a tactic to gain some form of security or safety from it as it makes us no safer than if we actually completed the border and made sure that no one could cross it without crossing it where we can control it (Check Points or the holes we made in the wall.) Going into Mexico to Stabilize it will make us have to pay what we are already paying in Iraq and Afghanistan the two drains on our budget the Republicans and Democrats help start. The Cartels may control Mexico and we may have to cut off any diplomatic ties with the country but sending our troops into that hell hole is not going to fix it we need to secure our borders and get ready to repeal the threat from the Cartels and we have no need to invade or send our troops in as this will tax our economy and our government even more. We need to STOP policing the world you do notice that our country did a lot better before the policing the world started. When our country was like a sleeping Dragon and was woke up by two World Wars and once awake it attacked its enemies like a Rattle Snake then went back to sleep to wait ready to strike at the next attacker we have strained from this and gone to a strategy that is against the "Don't Tread on me" Flag. That flag has a meaning to it. Don't step on me and I won't step on you. But we have gone to the we will step where ever we please which is causing us more and more trouble. If we did what we use to do, what actually worked the Terrorist that attacked us on 9/11 would be telling each other right now "We made a big mistake those guys killed most of us and attacked the countries that where funding us." instead they are laughing at us while we attack a country with no connections and our ally Saudi Arabia which the Terrorist where from continue to get paid by us. We are invading countries without a delcaration of War which violates our Constitution and the very principles the Republicans and Democrats claim to stand for. I can't stand this we are better and need to Police the world and tell them what to do attitude we need to go back to the way that wasn't broken. If it ain't broken don't fix it.

so if Mexico says yes? Regarding policing the world I understand and agree. However, this is not so much that but protecting ourselves. I believe guarding our borders aggressively may help quell some of the murders happening at the border. I agree that tightening up that border should be the first priority.

Okay Yeah I am for having troops on the Border or some form of force on the border. I got confused at what you where meaning about aggressively as in going and doing what we did in Iraq or Afgahnistant where we lost focus and didn't go after the people that are the threat to us Iraq wasn't a threat to us. He was our little play toy in the Middle East. Al Quida is the threat and we need to go after them and spill their blood but not these other countries. We need to get more nations involved and go after countries that are funding them or have training camps inside of them. We need to Reorganize NATO and get it to the We are going to Defend ourselves and our Allies. Heck Even Get Russia to Join NATO.

if mexico agrees and if people who know what they are doing from both countries (i.e. not, i think, your perry here)think this would be an effective way to deal with the cartels then fine. however invading mexico doesn't sound too sensible. you need to invade canada first and trying to do both at once would just be silly.

This is a pretty special breed of organized crime, it is itself very militarized.

well sending the military into mexico does have a certain ring to it. which is probably what mr perry intended. anyway, moving back to the sensible, do you think the military CAN deal with organised crime? i would assume you normally need a rather more subtle approach. maybe the military could be used in some way. do you (or mexico) have anybody who actually knows what they are doing here?

In to Mexico? Mmmm, no. Along the border in a massive armored show of force? Absolutely. I also think those predator drones we have patrolling down there should be armed with sidewinder missiles to take out cartel groups that have set up camp inside our borders. I think our air force should be engaging Mexican military aircraft when they violate our airspace, at least in a way that deters them back to their own. Mexican military and cartels that cross over in to our territory and fire on our law enforcement, National guard or border patrol, should be dealt with like any other invading force and be utterly obliterated.

So you want to turn the southern boarder into a warzone? I find it kind of ironic that you want Predator drones patrolling the southern boarder with sidewinder missiles while you live alone the northern boarder. Do you want Predator drones flying over your house armed with missiles?

just start a war and get done with it then. or be sensible. mexico doesn't need organised crime any more than you do. it kind of helps to distinguish between: mafia or however you describe organised criminals people breaking immigration laws another country's military yes, there might be some overlap but these are not the same and just blasting the whole lot to kingdom come is NOT a good idea.

This won't happen unless the Mexican government agrees to have our military down there. I don't think they would because of what happened in the Mexican American war. It might seem to them that the United States is trying to occupy their country.

all these things that are happening and getting worst.." there are SOMEBODY " who are behind it that's why whatever efforts done it is still growing just like a cancer in the society! The root should be the target first.!

I dont see any reason to raise taxes, I believe it is time to cut spending instead. However, I do see your point. BUt what about National Safety? Our citizens are being murdered on our border.

Do you know how much loan USA has and how much interest you peopel are paying?Count in decreasing value of dollar.More it decreases more value of loan increases.Do you think money leaders spent on wars comes form somewhere else? Offcourse it comes from your pocket. They might not increase income tax but they increase tax on good you buy and sellers pass that tax on you. About national security how about building a wall on boder or a double fense? Also send illigal immigrants back to home as quick as possible.USA for long is giving concession to illigal migrants inder the name of humanity.Just Deport them.

Theres a big debate about this no matter how much media stops documenting about refugees entering America. I believe there needs to be more enforcement because illegal aliens are creating havoc for citizens. Lots of money is being looted from stores, banks and robberies are all too common. Even if Obama pulls out troops from the Mexican border, I think there will need to be other investments to fend off America's side of the Mexican border. Well lets hope things get better and regulations prove effective.

I agree, what do you think about sending in our military?
20 Nov 10
First and foremost unless you are decended from the indian tribes that roamed america your forefathers were immigrants. That makes you no matter if you like it or not a second/third or fourth generation immigrant. Secondly you cannot place all the ills such as robberies etc on the doorstep of those you say should not be here. No matter which country you live in thats not rated as a third world country they have the same problems.

I think the government should put new electrical perimeter wall that goes down 1000 deep feet that really kills whoever cross on it. so all these illegals get shock everytime they cross the border. Agree? I agree with sending the military at least they are nearer to theri family than sending more of them to IRAQ!

pft..knew that was coming.i don't know how it got to be america has to police everybody. we shouldn't even go in there.shore up the border and issue a shoot on sight. mexico needs to start rounding up and executing these people too.don't even pussyfoot with them anymore.even the most corrupt legal heads there must be realizing they're about to lose control and the payoffs will stop. why would they pay somebody they can casually get rid of?
