Does God really Hear your Prayers????

First, we must define prayers. There are many ways to pray. Religions have formal prayers where everyone recites the same thing. People have their personal prayers where they talk with God. Praying can be an easier thing than you realize. Since God hears it all, praying can be as simple as a thought. So does God hear our prayers?? Let me tell you a story which might supply proof for you. When I was much younger, I was walking through the park on a nice spring day. I came across the fattest woman you could ever imagine sitting on a park bench. I thought in my amazement that this was the most unattractive girl I ever saw. As I walked away, I said out loud to myself. GOD! WHO WOULD EVER TAKE THAT WOMAN OUT ON A DATE????? Several weeks passed. I started getting phone calls late at night. I could hear only breathing on the phone. After several nights of getting up in the middle of the night, I told this caller. Say something!! I'm tired of getting up in the middle of the night for this!!! A soft, sexy voice came over the phone. We talked and talked. Over a week or two, we got to know each other. She sure was nice. She admitted she was a bit overweight but she said she just bought a two piece bathing suit. Yes, most women think they are overweight. I asked her out on a blind date. She told me where she lived and I was to pick her up to go to a movie. As I pulled into her driveway, I saw my date standing in the doorway. She was the lady from the park. I was in Shock! Let's go back and remember. I said. GOD! WHO WOULD EVER TAKE THAT WOMAN OUT ON A DATE????? I have now received God's answer. YOU, MY SON!!!! I learned a lot from all this. The heavy woman was very nice. She is still a good friend today. I learned about judging people and how we are all spiritual. That's what really counts, who we are spiritually. So be careful what you ask God. God does hear it all. You might just get an answer you don't expect!!!

Hello bird123! I believe that God does answer prayers. He is an all-knowing God and a God that provides, even if you haven't asked for the things you needed, He will always give it to you beforehand. We may sound impatient at times but in God's own time, He will definitely answer all you prayers. It might not be the kind of answer you always wanted but nevertheless it is the answer that is best for you and God knows best what's good for you. He has His purpose to all the things that are happening in our lives! Cheers!

Yes, it's best to get what we need rather than what we want. If we always got what we wanted, it would soon turn our lives into a mess. Thanks for all your comments!!

Venus of Willendorf - Venus of Willendorf created 24,000–22,000 BC is the first sculptural representations of the human body 20,000–35,000 years ago, which depict obese females. Some attribute the Venus figurines to the tendency to emphasize fertility while others feel they represent "fatness" in the people of the time.
That is really a nice story you have narrated. God knows our inner thoughts and he already knows even before we narrate it to them. Yet, he wants us to speak our thoughts aloud, not because he wants to hear but we must hear them ourselves. You would not have known your thought if you hadn't to speak them out aloud. Thereafter. God proceeded to tell you how wrong you were. Thanks for sharing.

He only answers prayers of those who believe in Him and do what He asks them to.

Now you surely can't believe that. God doesn't get mad because you won't believe. That's religion.

HaShem does not micromanage...If He did, then why does He allow the sinless little child do die of cancer while the parents pray every day for a cure? Why does the lovely little old lady suffer in pain with horrible crippling arthritis as she kneels to pray day after day? No HaShem does not micromanage. He has given us a brain to use to invent cures. He has given us a world full of resources to use to build and create new things. He has given us a wonderful Book full of laws to follow. If we choose to be greedy and not use these tools He has given us to help each other, then we have only ourselves to blame. If we do use them to the fullest, then we will be rewarded. HaShem does not micromanage. He macromanaged when He created us and all of the Universe. Shalom~Adoniah

There are many great souls willing to go through great adversity so others will learn. If no one ever got sick, mankind's medical knowledge would not exist. Life is about learning and growing rather than having it made. Many times it takes adversity. Regardless of what happens, we are all eternal. Would it really be the wise thing to do to take away all our problems? If it will not change the lessons we learn or those around us, God tends to give what you ask for. Thanks for all your comments!!

haha, guess you really should think before you speak! everything happens for a reason and our job is to thank god and move forward ,all our prayers are heard and all are paid attention to the way they should as man is not certain to what is to come ahead we pray according to the given conditions of time and place ,we are not aware to what is up ahead but god is ,and likewise our prayers are answered in different ways.

You are right. We should all think before we speak. I am better now than at that time in my life, however we all do that from time to time. It's good because once it's out then we have to deal with it. Thanks for all your comments!!

Firstly i was brought up in the baptist religion, but over the next 20 years of my life i started to question if there is a god. Now much older and hopefully much wiser with so many different experiences and having the oportunity to travel and live in so many different cultures i have come to the conclusion that there is no god. Prayers i think are just things we hope for, not only posessions but for circumstances to change. I believe many things happen because they are meant to not because there is something out there that answers our thoughts.

Yes, it does seem prayers do show what we care most about. As far as God is concerned, you must not base your knowledge of God on the beliefs of others. You need to discover for yourself. If God exists then He can be found. Never worry. You are a child of God regardless of your beliefs. Believing has never been important to God. That's not what this world is all about. Look deeper beyond the surface. The answers are there. Everything about God does add up. There is genius behind everything. Life is a journey. As long as you search for knowledge, discovery is at hand. God doesn't have to be a belief. Thanks for all your comments!!

I really don't think God answers all prayers. He sure has not with me! I have struggled with certain stuff over the years which I never seem to overcome. I have asked for God's help but I truly believe he laughing at me! I really believe he has given up on me and that I will never overcome the problems I still have! So I am not happy with him,I don't trust him and I have to get through stuff on my own! If you can't trust God you can you trust? NO ONE!

Too many times people want God to take the problems away. Little do we understand that problems make us smarter, stronger, and better in the long run. God never laughs at His children. God does want His children to be able to stand on their own two feet. Sometimes that takes leaving us to solve our own problems. One thing I do know. If you absolutely need help, it will show up from somewhere. Look beyond the problem itself to see more. Can you see how the problem changes you and those around you. Remember, life is about learning and growing as people not only for yourself but for everyone around you. Look up and see. You are the special soul capable of handling the problem which is needed for the benefit of all. God loves you unconditionally. Never think otherwise. Now, let's think. What have we forgot to do that would overcome that pesky peoblem??? Hmmm???? I have always heard that if you ask enough people, you will find someone who has had your problem before. They might just have a clue to it's resolution. Don't give up. You might be closer to solving it than you realize. Thanks for all your comments!

That's a very nice story, god really anwers us. I have many prayers from god and he answers it, though some are not exactly what I wish for but he gave me the best than what I want to have. There are also times that it seems that there are no ways to solve a problem but when I woke up in the morningx solutions just come my way. God is good at all times, it is true that you just have to have 100 percent faith with him and evrything will be fine.

I don't rely on faith. I understand God's great intellect. Wnenever God makes a move, I do my best to understand the genius behind the move. God works on multiple levels with multiple views. Answer are beyond the surface. There is always more to understanding God. The more I do; the better I get. Thanks for all your comments!!

Wow! Great story. I am a Christian, but I am struggling with my faith right now. Yes, I believe God hears our prayers. However, I have done some things the last few years that I am not very proud of. So right now I just don't think that he is answering my prayers. I feel like he is punishing me for my mistakes. My cousin had a baby last week that was not breathing when she came out via emergency c-section. They did CPR for 6 minutes until they finally revived her. They were told to prepare for probable brain damage. They called everyone they knew to pray. For the next few days the doctors did all kinds of tests to see how much damage the little girls' brain had suffered. To their amazement, all of the tests came back completely normal. Doctor after doctor came in and told them what a miracle it was and that they could not explain it. So yes, I do think that He hears prayers. God bless.

Wow! Seems you have a good story too. I love those happy endings! Know that God does not punish. Consequences from our mistakes teach. Could we ever learn if mistakes felt good??? Learn and grow. God loves all His children unconditionally. Don't allow religion to teach you otherwise. God does not rule, condemn and punish. That's mankind. God loves and teaches all His children. For those who do have children who end up with problems, know they are special too. They will change you and all the people around them. Look deeper. The miracle is still there!!!! Thanks for all your comments!!

Of course He does. That's the miracle of prayer. God hears anybody's prayers. He never see how's praying to him, whether he is a thief or good man, He will hear that. God is on our side in this case. So let see how those unbeliever don't believe in the miracle of prayer. They just too arrogant. They even can't count how many their hairs are.

That was a very nice story. I believe that God really hears our prayers because he is a good and merciful GOD. I've witnessed that a lot of times already and I still kept on thanking him for all the answered prayers. They say that God answers our prayers in three ways, its either YES, NO(if it will not benefit us) or WAIT(he will give it in his perfect time).

Yes, wait is the hardest thing for some to do. They would rather call wait no, however there is a time for everything. Patience can bring much better results. Thanks for all your comments!!

I often wonder how many prayers God hears when someone isn't asking for help. Perhaps we should all visit once and a while without requests. I bet we could even get help without asking for it. Thanks for all your comments!!
