Dear Mylotters, Christmas is coming soon and it means going to be the end of the year again. Some people start to get busy with the christmas shopping, I used to be crazy over christmas period because lot of great sales are coming up and that was the best time to go for shopping. That point of time, I was still working and have the earning power, I feel great to shop with my own money. But now, I am not looking forward to it because I don't shop anymore. Since I am a full time housewife and solely depend on my husband for daily expenses, I have get rid of my shopping habit and I will only shop for necessary things. Although sales are coming up soon, but I am not crazy over it. Somemore , I am not living in a big city now and don't really have the mood to shop like last time. But one thing, last time i went for christmas shopping and mostly the shopping items were for myself and for my family members and some close friends. Unless I did went back to my hometown, then I would buy some freebies for my relatives. Share with me....do you always shop for christmas? getting present for your family and friends? Happy MyLotting !!

Hi, Since it is hard to decide what to buy for your family members, then just make some Christmas cookies for them, and I believe they will appreciate your hard work. it is actually more creative to DIY some things for your close families.

No, I will not be shopping for Christmas. I don't really celebrate it and if I was to give something for someone, I would make it myself. I don't have money anyway.

Hi, I also never celebrate Christmas, to me, it is just like normal ordinary day to go. Probably will just have a good rest at home. kinda a family day for me. No plan for holiday trip at all.

I don't plan on buying gifts for friends and family for the holidays. I am planning on baking some goodies so that my gifts will have a personal touch. Also I don't have the time and patience to go through the mad crowds during Christmas season. I may have to shop for the food boxes or try to find a way to package my baked brownies and cupcakes.

Hi, I like your idea of baking some cupcakes and brownies as present for your friends and family. It will be very perfect gift for them. Too bad I am not good in baking and never bake a cake yet. So this idea may not suit me at this moment. Until one day, I managed to have my own oven and learn how to bake some cupcakes or muffins, then it will the best present for my family and friends for Christmas day.

Hi Shia, Here the Diwali and Bakrid just got over and the next festival is Christmas of course. I think the shoppers are busy all the time with sales and offering discounts. Usually I don’t shop for Christmas but winter season is going on I should purchase the warm cloths for winter. I have to get something every year as kids are growing and old cloths are not fit for them. In between we purchase some gifts to our friends who celebrate Christmas.

Yeah Christmas is just around the corner which everyone thought about, shopping, malling and vacationing. Some says Christmas is money spending for family, for ourself, for friends, for children and others, day of party, celebration and bonus. Some countries offered vacation, for travel and white ice around... tips this coming Christmas shopping, we should start now to shop not the day of Christmas itself. see you around..

Hi, Actually your words are right, Christmas is also day for family holiday trip and also time to spend more money. Last time while I still working, I used to shop alot few weeks before Christmas because Singapore always have a great sales on that period of time. Every where was sales and when I saw nice things and cheap, sure would grabbed for them and it costs me bomb, but still worthy to buy because the price were on sales. Normally, I will went for holiday on Christmas and same time back to my hometown to visit my parents and my siblings except this year,I won't be going back as no cheap airfare promotion. Sad :(
