Would you prefer to get engaged first than get married or just get married

Doesn't engagement gap singleness and married life? Also, marriages involve families and other people. There has to be some sort of interlude, but not for too long. I believe in short engagements that are preceded by a short courtship or friendship. I don't exclusively believe in this. My situation is that we got engaged early on, but got to know each other for a really looooong time. Whatever floats your boat :)

I personally prefer to be engaged first before getting married. It means that before getting married we really love each other and we are prepared in our big day. In being in a relationship you might know their real attitude. You will know if they are really your destiny and your true love. For me in getting married instantly is like a crazy! They are putting themselves into a miserable.

I think its better to be engaged first so you can plan the wedding very well aswell as get used to being very committed to your partner not that we shouldn't be before obviously. It helps it sink into to peoples minds though as some are still unsure, i wasn't myself though. I was very certain i wanted to marry my wife but it helped us save up for our wedding even though we didn't want a big day anyway.

I would prefer to go straight of marriage. Honestly, I can't understand and see the usefulness of engagement. The only good thing that I can think of is that it allow you to a taste of having a "spouse" and let you get use and ready for the commitment.
