Once upon a time, I used to be nocturnal keeping vigil the name of reading, watching movies and so on. Later I discovered that something must be done because i could not sleep again at will. I consulted a doctor who advised me and gave some medications. i started sleeping though(forcing myself at times).
After series of medications, my system got used to excessive sleeping to the extent that hardly will I wake once till down. At times, I do sleep while doing some important things on my system. In fact, I sleep a lot. The doctors say it is good for my system, but it is affecting. Please advise me.

It sounds the doctor you consulted prescribed you medicines that is working more than it was expected. From your description it appears that you are having some sleeping disorders.
See your doctor soon and relate the problem.
Or you set an alarm. It doesn't have to be too early, just enough to get anywhere from 7-9 hours of sleep. Do this for at least a month and your body will get used to waking up at this time so you won't have to use the alarm. Try not to hit to snooze button, however, it trains your body to stay tired in morning. If you have a coffee machine that will start at certain time automatically, set it so you can wake up to the scent of fresh brewed coffee.

wow, that sounds like a very difficult situation to have to deal with. If you don't take the medications you don't sleep, which is very necessary. IF you do take the medicines you sleep too much! Can you ask the doctors if you can take like a half dose or something? It might effectively help you sleep without putting out for the day too!

Try more outside acivitys or going to gym for some trainings.. I realy think that could help you for better sleep quality without long sleeping. It's only my opinion. I'm sleeping a lot too, so im trying some to do things what is phisic activiting me.
