If your little child came home from school and asked to you to get a pet bird, dog or snake, how would you react. Also, do you have any ideas of how you would take care of them? If it was a snake would there be rejection. All children love to have company, and I've had my young son ask about adopting a dog. What is your take on it? Share your ideas, and I will get back to you on the comments.

Before we had a cat. It behave like a family member. It was so lovable. As it goes out for it's natural needs on it't own it is very easy to have a cat. But it roam all around the house. But we lost our cat. now we have rabbits. they are kept in cages. So no problem. the urine of the rabbits give a bad odder. so we should clean the cage every three days.

I once got a dog because I saw how much my son liked other peoples dogs. He would ran up to this big fluffy dog in a store one time and just laid on him and gave him a big hug. He was like 3 or 4 at the time and it was so adorable. I thought I gotta get this boy a dog one day. So, I did. Then, I thought, I need to get rid of this dog. It just didn't work out for me. I had to do a lot of the work and I don't even remember my son becoming too attached to the dog. Since then we have had a couple of fish, and I really didn't like that experience either. I haven't liked cats for a while. I know that I sound horrible, but I just don't want to take care of an animal when there are so many other things in my house to tend to. So, if my child showed an undying desire to have a pet I might consider it. But, for those little conversations that happen in passing, my answer is a no. At least, not until my kids get older and can play a bigger role in taking care of their pet.

Well, because of the fact that I am a sucker for animals, if it was a stray that we were talking about, it would be very difficult for me to tell them no. However, if we were talking about going to the Humane Society to adopt a new pet to add to our family, I would most likely tell them no. As it is right now, we have four pets in our family, two dogs and two cats and I really don't think we need to add another animal to the family.

I am one that if a pet can not run free on land I will not bring into an apartment, for this reason I would explain why it would be unfair to the pet and if they are upset I will take them to the zoo. LOL
