Manual treadmills, have you ever used one?

I may be getting a manual treadmill tomorrow and just read up about how they work. I had no idea before how they worked, and needed to find out before I picked it up.
I would think, being manual, it would give me more of a workout since I have to power it myself, which would be better for me.
I'm still waiting to hear back about picking it up tomorrow, but I'll definitely be happy if I can get it.
Has anyone ever used one before?

I have personally never used a manual treadmill. I suggest getting a electric one because then you will not have to power it yourself and if you wanted to you could turn it off and use it as a manul treadmill. But beware keep it away from children and if you have long hair always tie it into a pony tail and tuck it under your shirt so that it does not get stuck in the treadmill.
Hopefully you get a good one and make good use of it ;)

I don't have children, and I have short hair, so neither one is an issue.
But the reason I'm getting a manual treadmill is the ease to fold it up and store it. Electric treadmills don't always fold up, and we don't have a lot of space here to have a full size unit.

Manual treadmills requires more workout from your legs. It will undoubtedly rip your legs like the ones soccer players have and it will tire you in no time unlike auto treadmills. They're just designed for cardin training.

My mother had one for a long time, and boy were they a lot of work. I am not sure if she still has it, or if she has a newer one now, but I remember the old manual. It was dang near impossible for me to get that thing going.
