I hate being late for anything so I have for my entire adult life set the clocks ahead of time. Usually 10 to 15 minutes earlier so I'm always on time for everything. I also have my clothes ready so I don't have to waste time looking for something to wear.

I used to have that habit too until i started making a conscious effort to be early. I find that if i get everything ready from the night before and start getting myself ready an hour earlier than i used to, i can avoid all the last minute hassle and be on time.

Best thing to do is to set your clocks and watches about 10 minutes ahead of the actual time. This way you will always be ahead of time and you'll never be late for anything.
My boss has her clocks set about 20 minutes ahead, but always seems to know if I'm on time for work or late. When I'm late, she always calls me asking me where I am.
Good luck with this.
