How do I stay warm if I keep the heat down?

Ok, so my question is this: If I turn the heat down in the house like everyone wants it, then how am I supposed to stay warm at night? I sleep under a blanket and wear long sleeves and pants to bed, but then I'll wake up sweating. If the heat is up to a decent temperature, I'm fine, but when it's down, that's when I sweat. So how do I deal with something like this?

How about the old fashioned hot water bottle? The heat from the boiled water should keep you warm until you wake up. There's also the microwavable hot water bottle which does not require the pouring of hot water.

We have a heated mattress pad. No heat upstairs. Thermostat does not work. I sleep under one comforter, with flannel sheets. I do not bundle a lot. I do wear socks to bed. They say that in studies with the elderly, they slept significantly better if they have socks on their feet.

Body heat.....Soon as your body warms under the blankets...you can kick one off. I do that every night. Cold to get in, but hour or so later I am kicking them off cause I am hot. It just takes some time for your body to warm up and then make more warmth for the rest of the bed. With two people in the bed, it might not take as long...body heat..its all about body heat! Getting up when it is cold...can't do much about that but put a robe close by. I also wear socks to bed. Can be warm every where else, but my feet get cold so put on a pair of socks when you go to bed. Sometimes by the time body temp warms things up...I kick them off to!! For the baby...get a room heater and set it just for the baby. Make sure you have it out of the way tho.

Stop wearing extra clothing going to bed then you won't wake up in a sweat, the bed may be cold when you first get into it but it soon gets warm and if you are wearing extra clothing that will make you sweat.

Ok, that's unusual. When you turn the heat down, the cold turns up, right? Or are you living in a reverse dimension or something? I usually like it just right when i sleep. I wear loose clothes cuz it's comfortable.

How about wearing a thicker but short sleeve tee-shirt and a bermuda to sleep? The blanket should keep you warm but not too hot that you will be sweating.

Try wearing slightly lighter night clothes, or sleeping naked under the covers, and put a hot water bottle at your feet, and maybe wear a night cap. They say that most of the body's heat escapes through the head or the feet.
