A lot of beauty products are available in the market. But due to financial crisis we opt to make a home made beauty products which are cheaper ad produce better results because it comes from natural ingredients. Personally I have searched in the internet about ways to create home made beauty products. One example is applying calamansi or lemon juice to elbows and knees to whiten, exfoliate and smoothen it. Another example is putting an egg yolk in a bowl mix with one teaspoon olive oil and half cup of water, then apply it to your wet hair and stay there for 30 minutes. It will replenish protein that was lost due to drying and chemicals we put on our hair.I find it 100% effective for me. You can try it. How about you? Can you share with us other home made beauty products you know?

I have tried making homemade beauty products from the internet, from the herbal books and from the stories told by friends and people. Some work for my skin, others don't. Anyways, here it goes, I have tried putting papaya the ripe one mashed it then put lemon or lime juice on my face when I was having terrible acne breakouts.
I have also tried the oatmeal mask. Then there's the mayonnaise for the hair which my cousin and I tried many years ago and we smelled good afterwards
Then I read from the internet about the simple sugar for exfoliation. Haven't tried it yet because we don't use white sugar at home.

I've used a similar mixture for an all-over body scrub. The coffee grounds, regular table salt, sugar, and just enough olive oil to turn it into a paste. It has a bit of a strange smell if you ask me. But it really does do the trick to make your skin very smooth and soft. I was surprised the first time I used it how nice my skin felt afterward. And I think the caffeine does something to sort of "wake up" your skin. You can just use it in the shower and it should go down the drain with no problem. I've also considered how almond oil would make a nice substitute for the olive oil.

a ltr of sainsbury's basics shampoo is 22p, 3 bars of soap are 13p, are you sure the electricity for your computer to do the searches doesn't cost more?
You can make soap from conkers but I don't know the recipe, have you considered selling your creations at a market stall?

nothing better than natural products mayrah, that's what my sister do most of the time, she always mix things, lol.
I can give you something she made to make her skin whiter, it's a mixture of Chickpeas, Fenugreek seeds, & the egg yolk.
she Grinds the Chickpeas & Fenugreek seeds, then she mixe them with egg yolk.
Finally, of course she put them on her face, & wow, i can't tell you how that mixture smell, lol, then she just wach her face with warm water.

As what you said you put calamansi to your elbows and knees, me, I rub my face, my arms and my legs with calamansi to whiten. I also made virgin cocunut oil for a hot oil to my hair and I drink it for cleansing inside.
