Hi there, Here is my new discussion for today.. Whether we admit or not this topic for our children are still challenge to us as parents because we want our children's future will be in good and stable. So we as parents are always looking for the best education system which some of us are sending our children abroad for study, then the other are contented in some school in the country because we believe the talents and ability of our children as student can compete to the other that studied abroad. What do you think these two criteria affects to the future of our children? You as parents which is better for your children education system which need more money or you are depend only to the talent and ability of your children against all odds.
May I know your views in this regard because we are not same ideology based on this discussion... Share with us.... see you around

For me education is much important. Because we lose our talent sometimes. Like for example you're a good singer but when you reach the old age you can't sing as beautiful as you used to..Unlike when you have a proper education it will stay forever..Education is an investment!

Hi there, sorry but for me both aspect are important the only thing we should know is how to apply it properly because if you have ability but you did not apply rightly useless, as well as education with out proper application it is useless... you get my point. see you around

I look at my son's ability first and try to assess which school would be best for him. I had this dilemma when he was about to enter grade school. He was so smart I just have to choose the best grade school for him and don't want to settle for second best. There were two best schools in my mind and he passed the entrance exam for both. My second consideration is how well this school can develop my son's social skill and if they have extracurricular activities to mold my son in becoming a great person. Both of the schools I have looked into have this, and so I had to decide on the last one, which is the fee. I chose the cheaper one.

As a parent I wish my teenage son to do well at school, go to a further education college and then to go off to university. His is going to achieve very good exam results in 2011 I think. He is hoping to go to a further education college to do A Levels in History, Religious Studies and Art when he reaches 16 years old. At 18 years old he would like to go to university to study ancient history. He is talented in making small models out of craft materials. He is very good at drawing and painting. He is fascinated by history and has loads of historical knowledge. Sadly these days students have to pay fees to go to university. In my day we got a student grant and our fees paid my the county council. My home country is in a recession at the moment. The education system needs more money. Talents should be recognized, given a chance to shine and be celebrated.

Well. I don't have children. I think Education system and Student talents are both affect to our children study. If your children have a great talents, but teachers don't teach well, this talent will not promote its effective. If your children are studied in a very good school which good teachers, but your children are lazy, they can't studied well too.

Hi visavis! I believe that the education system plays an important role in child's education. One student cannot learn properly if the school's equipment is lacking, teachers are not capable, etc. The school system will be the one to initiate the better education of the children and in that sense, children will be able to make school as a good learning place. You need motivation for learning even if you got talent, without the support of the educational system, a person's growth and success are for nothing. Cheers!
