Grab bags and Secret Santa ideas.

I really don't enjoy this part of the holidays. Every year at work someone comes around and informs us that we are to buy a present for someone we may not really know for the office grab bag. It's not only spending the extra money that kind of bugs me, but it's the idea of spending the money on something that someone might get that they don't really need or want. Is there something that you buy for office grab bags that you think most people will enjoy?

ugh i know! im always broke when i had to do it and the person i got i usually didnt know well or didnt care for.. yet if you opt'd out people would act like your the freaking Grinch.. i dont even exchange gifts with my family due to everyones money issues so why would i want to buy a stranger a gift?!?! and usually the ones i get are lame.. but then again they prob are clueless on me too so i cant really blame them

Since I working in a long term care facility and we wash our hands a million times a day, hand lotion is always appreciated.
Also, recently it was mandated that all the employees wear the same uniforms. Before, we could express our individuality by wearing bright and colorful uniforms. I have taken to wearing colorful socks to show my personality. So, I might throw in a fun pair of socks to a grab bag.
