I was heading east and saw the moonrise as it was beginning and it was one giant moon. I couldn't believe how big it was. So beautiful! And thanks for explaining the expression that I have often used but had no idea what it really meant.

Is that why yesterday was so strange?! I had an uncontrollable urge to nap and slept 3 hours! I thought I would not be able to sleep at night but started falling asleep as I was watching a program on TCM. Went to bed and couldn't sleep!! Also, I was so hungry yesterday, nothing would stop my stomach growling. I was exhausted all day. Must be the blue moon!

dear pat,
i didnt have a glimpse of this blue moon yesterday.
it was raining so hard that the rain entered my windows and i had to put rugs on the floor so as not to make a pool there.
maybe you can tell us if you have any strange things that happened at your end.
have a nice day.
ann

I suppose that it explains a lot of things. I really did feel a little bit off all day on Sunday. I've never really thought about the Blue Moon thing all that much, but I have thought about the full moon thing a lot. When I used to work at the hospital it was always the craziest nights that we would face when there was a full moon. I wouldn't say that the employees particularly acted differently, but the patients always seemed to act strange.

Well, ironically I saw this on Yahoo news this morning and I was talking about it with my 20 year old son. He is the one who mentioned 'once in a blue moon' and it all makes sense.
