Hello, sohnikhan. I believe my horror dreams are caused due to fears and things I have been living intensely in the last few days/weeks. That's almost always like that for me. Even though the horror dreams are random, I happen to have them almost everyday. Everytime I remember a dream, it is a nightmare. I can't remember my dreams daily, but out of 10, 8 are nightmares. Nightmares like seeing people die, mutilated, being killed, chased, or something like that. Sometimes it is something "light", like breaking up with a loved person (which would suck). But usually it is pretty strong. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

For starters, don't watch scary movies then. I have given up on horror movies for this reason. They tend to work into my sub-conscience, and I don't like it. Therefore, I rarely watch horror movies unless it has an unusual twist or mentally intriguing plot line that causes you to think a bit. I too sometimes hear my heartbeat, and it is a bit disturbing to me. I usually roll over on my side or some other position so I can no longer hear it. I have recently stumbled across a website that has been quite helpful in pointing other discussions here on myLot to resolution of their dreams. I have been finding over the last few nights if I make conscience effort to remember my dreams, by looking up unusual traits the next morning, it has stated to open some interesting insights to my psyche and personality. Maybe it will help you too. http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/

He's a great nightmare preventer... cut back on nightmare fuel! Your dreams largely reflect what you put in your head (Not totally... as I'm certain that like me and the rest of humanity you've had dreams that have made you go, "Where the @#$% did that come from?!?!"), so if you read fantasy novel night and day.... PRESTO! Dreams about flying with dragons and swimming with mermaids. If you watch lots of horror movies, go to haunted houses, and generally spend time trying to scare yourself.... PRESTO! Nightmares. I don't watch horror movies and I tend to steer clear of things that creep me out, so I rarely have nightmares. I made the mistake of going to a haunted house around Halloween, and a pretty hardcore one too! I'm still having nightmares about it!

i dont understand this dream psychology some people say that dreams are based on truth.they are connected to reality.most of the dreams represent your future. so every person has different point of views as far my self when i am depressed i see bad or horror dreams.or if i watch horror movie i would not be able to sleep well.lot of times it happened to me that i had dream last night and next day that thing happened.

People have different ideas about what dreams are. In all honesty, nobody really knows why we dream or what purpose dreams serve. It's all up in the air. I don't believe that dreams tell the future or have deep symbolic subconscious meaning. I'm the one who reads fantasy novels and has dreams about mermaids and dragons (and much more of the like). Had a few eerie instances where it seemed that a dream was repeating itself in reality, but in the end I just ruled them out as bizarre coincidences. I'm going to have lots of dreams in my life, and most of them are going to be hogwash.... so why should I take one or two seriously? As for dreams being based on truth.... yeah I don't think so. (But of course, I'm the one with the mermaid and dragon dreams) I think dreams reflect what you go through and what you put in your head. If you're filling your head with homework, work, horror movies, or fantasy novels... then that's probably going to be one of the things you frequently dream about. Sometimes dreams just repeat your daily routines, and sometimes they're really out there.
