Hi there! Well i'm also guilty of not taking time to read and understand the Bible not only because i spend most of my free time online but also because i work in a 10-hour job that's why it's so hard managing my time. That's one of the basic reasons why i bought a Contempory English version Youth Bible so that i can still get to read it amidst my daily haste. But of course that would not replace meditating, understanding the Bible; attending mass, and doing good deeds. In my spare time at work i make sure I call on His name for guidance and that really helps a lot.

Yeah its so funny we have 24 hours a day, we spent 10 hours in work, 6-8 hours of sleep but the remaining hours were left in internet mode...even an hour of 30 minutes sometimes we can not give time for the Lord... Anyway what matters is that we have stronmg faith and still believe in Him

It takes strong discipline to use our time wisely as there are many distractions. You are so right that God gives us 24 hours each day. So how can we not give him back a couple hours a day? If someone gave us 24 dollars every day and asked for a few dollars back would we not gladly comply? Yet even with all this time, most of us have no time for God. So we come up with silly reasoning like he doesn't exist as if that excuses us. How silly we are?
So it has been my practice for many years now to read the whole Bible every year. On Jan. 1 I start with Genesis and by Dec. 31 I finish the last chapter of Revelation. It takes about 30-45 minutes a day to do that, less than 1 hour. What reason can I give to not give him back one hour a day to read his word?
So I continue to encourage everyone to pick up the same project of reading the entire Bible once a year. Just like we eat every day and we make the time for that, we must make the time to read God's word daily. No finer thing could we do! No better thing could we do! No more rewarding thing could we do.
I wish you all success in this vital endeavor!

I'm more apt to sit in front of the television rather than the computer; but, like you, I sometimes neglect reading my Bible and praying as I should.

Although I have read the Bible a number of times, I have to admit I haven't sat down and just read it in a while. I do spend too much time on the computer, and reading novels or watching television.

I have read most of the bible at one time or another, and its like a book of fairy-stories. Fairy stories are writings of good deeds and bad actors, that are dedicated to teaching children right from wrong. There is nothing wrong with that! Occasionally something biblical comes across my screen and rather than waste time looking it up in the Holy Book I can find it quicker and easier on my computer.
