Ae you afraid of rats? Why?

Im not really affraid of rats, though I do prefeer the pet versions above the wild version, because often those in the wild carry with them diseases...

Well i am not afraid of rats, but i find most of the females who are afraid of rats,cockroach etc..Well i used to be afraid of water..I mean swimming but as i have learned how to swim i enjoy alot now..

I know that its all in the mind. My elders used to scream at the sight of rats and other insects. This automatically plays on the mind of a child. This happened to me too. And hence fear of rats.

I don't mind pet rats but I detest wild rats. If there was one in my home I would freak right out and have to scour the place from top to bottom to make sure there were no more and ensure that none could get in. My cat brings home mice and sometimes lets them go and then I have to trap them and I don't mind that...I don't like it either but it's referable to rats...bleh!

I dont like rats but the normal mouse i am not afraid off, but the very big rats can let you make so scared but if ther is a rat in my house i would probaly try to keep it away from my house! I think i am afraid of it because the most times it is surpricing me that it is in my mouse and that is why i am afraid that first 20 secXD

I am afraid of rats especially the smaller ones. I find them creepy and seeing their grayish fur and tail makes me nauseated. I prefer those that can be made as a pet. But rats are rats. No matter what kind of rats are them I still cannot do myself a favor to mess with them. I just hate rats and I don't know how it all started.

hi mayrah, rat is an animal eats each and every thing stored in a house. kitchen is best place for the chances of its food available. rat cut and destroy valuable dresses, paper, cloth and things made by leather or plastic. it means it is also a destructive living thing.But on other hand it is also assumed sacred in Hinduism. Hindus do not hate it, therefore they could be found in much and many temples living with tones of food getting with respect. Scientists use there body for different kind of tests for there forth coming inventions and effects of the medicines before using them for human being. rat have many negative and positive points. as concerned with fear it is not as dangerous as we think. they are cowards. they escape from human and make hide them in their hole or nest. so mayrah you should not fear of the rat. they will run away when ever they find you.

I'm not afraid of mice but don't them in my house. They are dirty, smelly and destructive. A RAT is a different animal. I've never seen one except on TV. I'm sure that I'd be afraid if one got in the house. A mouse trap would be too small to catch a rat.

I guess I am alittle but not for the reason you may think. I was helping my daughter feed her pet rats one day and the mother bit me! Being protective I am sure but I really don't think I will be helping her feed them again in the too distant future. They are a strange animal. Ugh!

I am not afraid of rats although I do find them a tad revolting! I could never kill one because I don’t like to kill anything so my husband would have to somehow get it outside if we ever find one in the house which I pray we never will! I don’t have many fears except for heights I suppose and walking on grass with bear feet, I hate that and I don’t know why! Slugs and cockroaches creep me out but don’t necessarily frighten me.

I'm not afraid of rat or mouse. The truth is that we hunt those insect when I was in the province. I go along with friends to hunt rats because they infested the rice field and corn field...

Not if they are outside. I have camped on an island with big rats on it. They never bothered us.

You're asking why? OMG, those things can be mean! I used to clean this car dealership loaded with them-I had one jump at me once!

No I'm not afraid of rats; but I can't stand seeing them. I believe they're so dirty and they are carrier of so many plagues and illness.

Generally speaking I am not afraid of rats, but if I ever saw one in my home I think I would be pretty freaked out. I would not want one of those things in my home or around my children. I would certainly concentrate on getting it out of my house as soon as possible. They are dangerous and filthy and can cause a lot of damage to property very quickly. So I will say I would be afraid if one was in my house.

Hiya mayrah, Rats I cannot stand to see them even in a picture. I don´t know why as I have had to be by them before to get down a Street a long time ago. Maybe it´s those beady little eyes of theirs or is that awful raggy fur they have that is full of sickness and disease. Don´t like to talk much about them sorry. Don´t care much for Mice either they run too quick and are very messy in the House. We got rid of them ages ago but nonetheless they are still awful to me.

This isn't really easy for me to answer. I have never had a rat close to me to know whether it would bother me or not. The closest i have come to a rat is to see them on television, but that is completely different. I guess that until i have a rat in front of me i won't know how i would really feel. I would hope that it would not bother me, but you never know.

No, I am not afraid of rats. Some of my friends have had pet rats that were actually quite cute. Sewer or subway rats are not cute however and I do not like to look at these rats. They are disgusting. I hope I never have to kill rats in a laboratory because I'm a biologist.

I was afraid of cats when i was little cuz i watched a movie that monster come out of cat and killed people well i was like 7-8 years old :P I avoided them everywhere :P Well i hate rats and frogs - everything else i can handle but these two , kill me i can't . I live in a village and both are common but i cant stand them i hate them i cant bring myself to go near them , everything else that i fear i can handle but this is too much for me :)
