Hi. louievill. I think that I caught one fish when I went fishing with my uncle many years ago. I can't remember what kind of fish that it was though. I do know that my uncle was happy that I had caught this fish, and so was I too. We went to the Santee pond. I had so much of fun.

That's nice, I remember when I was very very young my uncle and I also went fishing in Manila Bay, that time it was still very clean, what we caught was a puffer fish so we had to return it back to the water.

oh that was fun and exciting, when we were kids , my dad taught us to return fish that cannot be eaten or too small by carefully removing the hook and gently releasing it back to the water, I was very reluctant to do that when I was young because I was so proud of my catch, but now that is also what I teach my children, thank you for your nice respose

It has been 15 years since I went fishing last time,I used a piece of pork as bait,I got 3 small fish that, I felt so happy. but since the fish is too small, I put the fish back into the river, but my father got two big fish, and the two fish bacame our one of our dish that evening.

went fishing last week with a bunch of my office buddy.
I was the lucky one. I caught 2 plate size fish. a talapia and another a local fish we call lampam. Since it was a catch and release pond both fish was release save into the pond.
I consider my self an anglers lately. started picking up again the fishing hobby last 2 years or so.
Normally I use a rod and reel for fishing like all the anglers do. the bait will vary depends on the location and fishing target.
You don't go fishing to get the fish (but that is what we aim for). The main reason is the activity teach you patience and reduce stress. you are one with nature.
We should release the fish back if it is for sport and recreation. But some time we take back 1 or 2 for dinner :).
DO you fish often?

Yeah I agree with you, it's the activity so some none anglers would think how boring , I mean stay out their for extended periods of time just sitting and waiting when in fact the thrill is there and the catch becomes secondary. Different with children though, to them it's the catch, anything big or small

The last time that I went fishing was actually when I was still in middle school and though I caught a couple of fish, they were too small to keep, I had to throw them back. However, when we went fishing, I was using a fishing pole with an earthworm as the bait. We were fishing at a lake that is about an hour away from our community. Despite the fact that I didn't catch any huge fish, I had a really good time with the experience.

it has been a while for me. But the last time that I went fishing was about a year ago. Caught a 25 pound king fish. Nice size I think they are the one that are on y profile pic. It sure was some good eating too. Love to go but rarely have the time. Need to make the time. I also enjoy freshwater fishing as well.
